Just be advised all you who welcome the gigantic and impersonal monolith that is Home Depot: Service is SO BAD, just about every time you leave the store, you'll leave shaking your head, pissed off, or both.

The magic of low price is forgotten long before the piss poor service.

Then you don't shop at either of the locations in the Eugene area.

I have shopped a Home Depot in Roseburg and I have always gotten excellant service. I will be ticked pink to have Home Depot here. The only place I shop for hardware here is builders supply. Yes the prices are alittle high but the service is excellant.

i shop at the one in eugene all the time, sometimes the customer plays a big part on how he or she is treated by the employees.

You shop there "all the time" ? Really? I don't think so. If you shopped at the one in Eugene, you would know why there are never more than 10 or 12 cars in the parking lot at any given time. And why Jerry's lot is always full.

The Eugene Home Depot is one of the worst stores (of any kind) for customer service I have ever been in. And easily 50 percent of the time when I go in there, they don't have what I came in for.

Quit making stuff up. I know better.

Good question! Glad you asked. From time to time I have customers who ask for something right away, who don't mind the cost. Since Home Depot is closer than the good place in town (Jerry's), I used to try them first but after getting zero customer service and poor inventory choices I quit going there. I did give them the benefit of the doubt on at least a couple dozen attempts. But now I just go straight to the other place even though it is a few miles out of my way.

I am living in California taking care of my Mother, but look forward to moving back to Coos Bay one day. My husband works at the Home Depot here, in kitchen design. This is wonderful news to me!

Corinne, talk here is that construction will begin in the spring. I moved here from southern California and I love it here. Yes, it rains in the winter time but spring and summer is absolutly beautiful. I have lived here for many years and have never regreted it.
