and some of us have seen Marsden the same way - seems like we need better choices - but that won't happen so we'll be SOL

It is to bad the last two Posters are so familiarwith our Local Justices. Happy to say I would not be able to JUDGE either of them.

Andy knows his reputation. He spends many days between the the Elks, Amvets and the legion. I will say that his wife has gone through a lot of medical issues and maybe this is his way of coping but seriously he drives under the influence a lot. If you do not believe me then check out these spots daily. You will see his car there. As far as Skip is concerned , he may like a drink (as many of us do) but at least he enjoys it at home with his family. I have also heard (from employees) that Andy has been a little less than sober while on the bench. We all have our vices but I do not think that makes him much of a justice. AS I remember he was "let go" by the school district.

I would rather be voting on justices who had the proper credentials to qualify them to be a judge. I have said many times that the justices(judges) are no better qualified to judge and/or throw out cases than any of us. Real judges have a law degree and judicial training unlike town justices A most recent example would be Mr. Gori being able to throw out the DWI case in Duane. If the law can man a checkpoint to catch DWI's, than why can't a suspicious trooper stop a car to check?

Meme it is kind of hard to argue with the truth. I never said I know it all but it is public knowledge and you obviously just opt to not see it. Malone Citizen I agree 100% but anyone who went to law school is not going to take a justice job. They get paid very little and it is often thankless. I believe they have a 2-4 week course they must take . It hardly seems enough to me but that is the way it is.

Everyone says that I think I am superior? My post that actually pertains to the subject is now judged as spam, nuts and clueless. Clearly those posters feel superior. Judge all you want. Everyone knows what the truth is. I think these posters forget that people can actually read and form their own opinions. Your judgements will not persuade anyone. As I said before I stand behind my posts.

I realize that anyone with a law degree would not take a justice job but I also think that the justices should not have the power to make the FINAL decisions on MANY of the cases that they handle. Those cases should be handed to a higher court. One being the ability to throw out a DWI case when there is documented proof of the alcohol level regardless of the circumstances which obtained it. If a person is checked at a check point and is deemed impaired, they WILL be charged.

Depot - I think you judged my post a little - I have never been arrested or stood in front of either Judge as a suspect - but I have seen both of them on the bench and under the influence!! It's too bad that the political powers couldn't get some younger people to run for these positions. It does require a lot of time to include weekends, holidays and nights, but the right person is definitely needed!

The best to you..........
