This woman clearly had no remorse for her scam. I live in McComb. I passed by her house, walking or in the car, 3 or 4 times a day. It looked like a used car lot there were so many cars in the drive. The McComb football team players were always there too. They put pink stripes on their helmets in her honor. I saw people washing her windows and thought wow how does one rate window washing. An elderly couple showed up pulling a trailer and a mower to mow her lawn all summer, I've since learned they were her parents. Bikers on Harleys were there frequently. Probably giving her more money. Obviously she loved all this attention she was getting. It saddens me to think of all the young kids who walked around town with pink stripes or mohawks. They showed such support for her. It makes me really mad she used them and scammed them and thought so little of how they would feel to be duped. I'm sure N Balt folks were hurt but she also had an affect on McComb. She never returned to her house after she was arrested. I saw many cars, trucks and trailers emptying her house. She even left her dog unattended and running loose while she was in jail. I saw neighbors provide water and food to the dog. Why on earth would someone want to bring this Karma on themself? There were several dumpsters parked in her drive and people throwing out carpet, mini blinds, furniture and more junk than a horder. I have to wonder how she lived inside that house. I felt sorry for the elderly folks cleaning up her mess. I guess she couldn't show her face in town after what she did. The sad part is she probably won't get anything but a slap on the wrist. I also feel sorry for her 5 boys. What a role model she is. She should be made to sit with real cancer patients in Hospice situations and see what she missed.

You really should take this down or re-report. Candy Powell does have ALS. She is dying and you should be ashamed of the comments you have made.
