I joined and read the topics in the talkmansfield.com forum. I find myself easily disturbed by the misinformation written so frequently Especially by the subjects Dan, Kevin, ChangetheBOS and Fenway? Corrections are infrequent and the negativity is rampant. It seems that they know one another fairly well. Does anyone know the true identities, work histories and demographics of these members? They really come off as cyber thugs and should at least be made known. Thanks in advance for any info.

Dan Pascucci, Kevin Mackie, Bob Goldman, Tina Silverio. Two failed in bids for selectmen, one started the last recall and stopped after a day, and the last is the founder of talk mansfield and he is on a town board or committee.

That forum perverts the 1st amendment. Started as a discussion group by Clemmy to bring attention to town hall. Turned to haters group against town manger DAgostino and the selectmen by Mackie, Purier, Farrari, Gagnon, Goldmen, Ricci, Baldwin and the Concerned Citziens. Most have faded away, but the core group remains. Would you sit, have a beer and talk with Mackie, Goldman, Pascuci, Gagnon or Silverio? Of course not! Why read their opinions.. Pascuci show was unwatchable, Mackie is a right wing kung fu gun nut, Goldman is another right wing nut who can't get a vote, Gagnon is Dentino in drag and Silverio has the most unaswered posts in the history of forums.

Looks like the call-to-arms to bring vibrancy to downtown has faded. Talkmansfield is all talk and no action.

Still laugh thinking how Kevin removed all the D'Agostino stuff and claimed the site was hacked. What a chicken!

Are you the same "Forum Guest" who replied that you are a local businessperson? Ar you on Main St or near it? Seems that you're ridiculing the effort, and I really don't see a point to that unless you're just barking. There are people meeting this week actually, to discuss it. Most of the conversation and arrangements are being made off the boards. Why don't you get involved, go to the mtg and see if there's something you can contribute? At least that's more productive than accusing anyone on TM of 'all talk and no action'. You should know that one can lead a horse to the fence but you can't make it jump. Anyone who wants to can get involved in the effort, including yourself. One thing is certain, if no one bothers, then nothing will be done. Musing that TM is "all talk and no action" indicates that you don't know the facts- something that some TM-ers have been accused of earlier in this thread. So why don't you visit the https://trello.com/b/ROlYdwA5/downtown-mansfi... and sign up, and then you can bless us with all *your* wonderful ideas, since you think we're full of beans. You wouldn't want to be accused of all talk and no action, would you? If you're a businessperson in town, then I'm sure you have something to contribute. So come on over and sign up, get on the email list, and come to the mtg and offer your .02 worth.

Well done. That takes care of one-third (your work history) of what you wanted to know about me.
"dem·o·graph·ics [dem-uh-graf-iks, dee-muh-]
noun
( used with a plural verb ) the statistical data of a population, especially those showing average age, income, education, etc."

So come on now, don't be shy. And next, if you're feeling up to it, you can reveal your "real identity" which is what was asked about myself and others (not that I care- all anyone has to do is ask).

Forgot that you did mention you're now retired. But at one point you weren't! When did you retire? Is your old biz still alive in some form, or did you take in the shingle alltogether?

I have contributed significant time and effort to Mansfield since the early 60's and watched the downtown decline as you newbies discovered our gem and tarnished it financially, politically and economically. Main Street use to be a vibrant two way street and the train station was fine in West Mansfield. Good luck with your efforts.

I get it- you've been around awhile? I've been here almost 20 yrs. I'm not happy with the way development has panned out. "You newbies"? Do you mean me? I married into this town, I didn't buy into any McMansions or cotton-candy dreams. I liked it when I married into the town, and am not happy as far as development has gone. I have no stake in this town, financially speaking. I could leave, when i have my kids set. But other than that, i rather like the place, and think it's worth the effort to try to re-do the wrongs done (development-wise). Maybe i'm an idiot for thinking so, but I don't consider mansfield washed-up. but it'll take money to revamp. I'll ask you again, sign up to the trello board and please say your peace. maybe you have ideas, concerns, etc, but that's exactly what we want to hear. So please don't just denigrate those who are giving it a get-go. We would welcome the negative input too, because it's REALITY. So come on.

Don't get too attached to the town Planner. He may be retiring soon due to troubles outside the town.

Your group might have a say in appointing a new planner.

I have no idea, but I haven't been around long enough to know about the process in recruiting. There's a whole board, anyways. not just one person.
