You know voting is always a crap shoot. You never know what someone is going to do till they get in office. Because Mayor Reed has shown support for Pres. Obama does not mean that he shares all of his views. If he runs we would have a better idea on what he thinks on all issues. Listen, Mayors of large cities are always going to court the sitting President, in some way or another. We need the federal funding on many projects and how do we get that? By staying on the President's good side. I say give whoever wants to run in the future at least a chance. Good grief. Mayor Reed hasn't even made a decision yet.

"WE" no, the skum that live in large cities want the "FREE" stuff they can get.If atlanta wants a new stadium, how about the OWNERS build it and fund it thru each ticket being $5 higher. Its like YOU want a new $200,000 home and everyone who lives in fulton county help you buy it. Last time I checked "WE" didnt have the same thing as everyone else by helping each other buy stuff. If you can afford it, ok, If not..I suggest you get a better JOB.OR A JOB and get off welfare.

I hope Mohammad Reed runs, he will find out what the Georgians outside of I-285 think of an obama worshiper like him. He would do better to run for the congressional seat of Lewis or the position of that idiot Rep. Hank "Tip" Johnson who thinks Guam will tip over if to many people move to one side of the island of Guam.

I don't think I'm going to be making friends here today. I would like to see us get a new stadium. I think it would bring in more business. Anything that brings more visitors and their money to Ga is a good thing. That hasn't been decided yet either has it. Wasn't Gov. Deal hoping we could find different alternatives for paying a small portion. I kind of look at paying property taxes like this. If there weren't all these other people helping me pay the taxes for the county, if I was the only one who lived here, I wouldn't have a home at all. I couldn't afford it. I'd be sleeping in a sleeping bag waiting for the developers to arrive. I'm one of those people that kind of think outside the box alot. It's not very popular with lots of people. Do you really call people of color "simians"? That's disgusting.

Oh No!!!! That's not nice. I'm sure he or she has a very nice home. Are you the CA crazy they have told me about? I actually don't live in Roswell. My husband does. He and I are seperated and I live in the mountains. He is having surgery and I'm here to help out for a couple of days. My house up north is only 1,000 sq ft. It would probably fit on the back of a flatbed truck too. LOL

The people who use the stadium and MARTA should pay for these venues. I would think those profiting from the stadium like the owners should be the main ones paying for it, but if you like you are welcome to contribute to the construction of a new stadium so the owners can get richer. Write a letter to the editor in the AJC and suggest an increase in local property taxes for its cost, include your phone number and address so local Fulton Co. citizens can communicate with you. A vote on this issue would be a wonderful example of democracy in action.

We've beem married almost 45 years and have grown children and a grand child. You don't stop caring what happens to someone just because things don't turn out the way you planned. Or at least that's how we feel about it.

I agree with you. I think letting the people vote would be the way to go. Of course then you have to figure in the cost of that too. It's always difficult to figure out exactly what's the best thing to do. I like the idea of the people having the right to decide too.

Well, the games seem pretty well attended when I watch them on TV. I'm an advid football fan and watch just about every game that comes on TV including Mon/Thurs. I love the Falcons and was so sad when they lost. They're such a good team and as individuals seem to do lots for Atlanta charities. Would you please just drop the racist crap. Serveral murders have happen up in this area if I'm correct. I don't actually live inside Roaswell. I'm right over the Cobb line but for God sake people are murdered all over the place every day and it doesn't have anything to do with race.

if you attend the event, you shouldnt mind paying an extra $10 per ticket for a new stadium. Why should everybody have to pay?you can atch a basketball game on the side of any street in atlanta for free until you get robbed and your car jacked

The last thing we need to do right now is spend money, especially money we ain't got.
They's come a time when you just gotta fix whatcha got and keep it going and that time is now.
That stadium ain't going nowheres and if things maybe start getting better and everyone starts making money again and we got a little left over here and there then maybe we build a new stadium.
We gotta fix what we got for now and try and roll thru this mess we in.
