Review: New ERA Auto Sales

I purchased a car in September. The dealership was supposed to mall me the title and paperwork. They didn't send it until 2 months later. By then i had received a ticket because apparently the dealership only had the car registered for the first month. After that i was unknowingly driving with no registration. The dealership still had all my documents and i couldn't register it myself even if i had known the registration had lapsed. The ticket is $300 and the dealership refuses to pay or even take my phone calls, reply to my texts, or answer my emails. Stay far away from them; they are crooks.

This crooked dealership has been playing my family for about 5 months too! My father brought a 2003 Nissan 350Z from here in late March 2014 (my brother brought it with his money but it's under my father's name since he signed the paperwork, financed it under his name, and the insurance is under his name, and my father paid this crooked dealership to get the plates for the car. My brother would just drive it.) Guess what?! He knew did! We went back every week to see if the plates got in and the owner Manny kept making up excuses as to why the plates weren't there yet ranging from that the previous owner of the car signed the bill of sale wrong to him having trouble with Motor Vehicle.
It's now Aug. 15, 2014 as I'm writing this review and we still have nothing! They are playing us Manny and Charlie who claim that they are the co-owners, but they lied to a Motor Vehicle investigator when he went there last week to investigate what was going on. They claimed one was the owner and the other was a just a normal worker there. They told us that they weíre co-owners! We donít even know who the real owner is anymore! They also lied saying they talked to my father about everything, and were going to refund everything we spent on the car if we returned it. They never talked to my father because they donít even have his number, and theyíre certainly not going to get the car back from us with lying! Anyway, the bank that we financed the car under is asking questions too and Manny or Charlie or whoever the owner is are playing the bank too! The bank is not giving them any of their checks until they see the Title to the car which Manny or Charlie claims donít know where it is. We are collaborating with the bank and Motor Vehicle to try to get this solved, but itís taking a toll on our family. Manny likes to hide when we get here, but we know heís there. His spies are the ones who tell him about us coming because they see us on the cameras before we get out of the car. So we park a little further away from the dealership so we can catch him by surprise. We pretend to leave and when we do, Manny pops out from where ever heís hiding from. That whole dealership is in on the scam. Manny, Charlie, and everyone that works for them are part of the scam.
This dealership has breached their contracts with us. They canít give us another temp. plate since they gave us two already, and Manny who we tend to deal with the most, made another contract signed and delivered claiming that he would pay for any ticket, towing charges or anything else that happened while the car was being driven with the expired temp. plates. Well, my brother got a ticket from an Essex County sheriff yesterday Aug. 14, 2014. It wasnít even about the expired plates although they did come up. It was about the dark tints that the car had that was already there when purchased. I think he just wanted to bust a young boy driving a nice car because that is how corrupted our officers are. The windows were down all the way so he couldnít see the tints. Anyway, he left my brother off with a warning. He could have towed the car because of the expired plates but didnít. Well, that crooked dealership didnít do anything about this ticket. Motor Vehicle was the ones who told my brother to keep driving the car despite the expired temp. plates. Anyway, the Motor Vehicle investigator was suppose to go back today 8-15-14 but knowing Manny he was either hiding or closed the dealership early. They tend to do that a lot. Manny has spies and when they know an investigator or cop (yes, we involved them too) shows up, the dealership always tends to be closed at the right moments.

Part 2 of review

We even tried to give them an olive branch, and my brother tried to negotiate a fair deal. The dealership has recently gotten a 2005 or 2006 Nissan 350Z that is in perfect shape, newly inspected by NJ Motor Vehicle unlike my brotherís car that still has Penn. inspection stickers since he canít even register his car yet, and itís a stick, something that my brother wanted with the 350Z that he has now. The deal was that if my brother traded in his current 350Z with the new one on their lot for the same amount we paid for his 2003 350Z, then all of his legal troubles with us would go away. We were willing to do this as weíre getting tired of all of this. At first, it looked like he would take the deal, but in the end it turned out that Manny was screwing around with us again! Thatís okay, though. Weíre not giving up until this dealership is shut down for good and Manny and Charlie or whoever owns this place loses their license for good and the banks blacklist them for good to where they wonít be able to work, sell, or finance in this state every again! They already have a record with the Better Business Bureau of NJ thanks to us. So, if someone is smart enough to report them again to the BBB, it wonít look good for him. We reported him to the BBB, back in the very begin of June 2014. Of course, Manny knew this but didnít do anything about it! My mom ended up in the hospital twice already because of stress related issues. I mean we all stress, but the stress got so bad that it had a very negative impacted on my momís Rheumatoid Arthritis. We have no choice but to go to court! Weíre also planning to go to the news stations.
Please, to whoever is reading this please spread the word about this dealership. Whether you do it by word of mouth, text, Twitter, Facebook, etc, please spread the word so that this crooked dealership can finally open up their eyes to see that people are done being played around by them anymore. If this crooked dealership has done this to you also or to someone you know, please report them to BBB so they have more of a record on there because the more complaints the BBB get on this dealership, the more likely the BBB will have to do something about it. Go to Motor Vehicle so they can know that they are scamming other people. They have the power to take Mannyís or Charlieís license away permanently. If youíre financing, donít let your bank get fooled by the lies. Have your bank help you as our bank isnít doing much to help us! Please, help my family and I get this place permanently shut down for good! Thank you for reading my very long review! Iíll try to update when our situation gets resolved.

I totally disagree with all these bad reviews , people always seem to go on website to put bad reviews but where are the positives review , I had such a outstanding deal with New Era Auto , Manny there help me so much he promise me he will get me approved also help me in terms of finance my vehicle gave me a perfect deal for the car , he was trying to help me and my boyfriend as much as he could he never ask for no money down he wanted to make sure he could get us approved first it was not about the money with him at all he was very sincere with us and explain everything so we understand every step in buying our new vehicle . don't always read reviews and think because that same situation could happen to you !!! I trust Manny and believe that they are no crooks .

I recently just bought a 2005 Nissan maxima. I had a problem getting approved anywhere else I was tired of dealers running my credit at no time Manny ask me for money if he was a crook like I have previously read in some reviews he would have ask for my deposit off the back . but that was not the case he was real honest with me he told me everything about the vehicle I wanted to get and explain all terms about every contract before signing , he also explain to me about the title of the car and how was the registration will work . the experience I had at NEW ERA AUTO was outstanding thank you Manny for helping me and thanks a lot for even giving me 40dollars from your pocket for gas I love the car is running smooth . I will recommend this place to my family and friends .
