About time. As a health care provider it's been so sad to have no place to send uninsured women for healthcare. Planned parenthood provides basic care and birth control. One in four women have been cared for by these self-less providers.

As for valuing life, I prefer to value the lives of women who's future rest on proper planning of families. I see no point in punishing women for getting pregnant. Abortion is a difficult choice and should be left to the person it impacts the most. For those who desire saving the lives of babies, stop having your own and open your homes to the thousands of unwanted children already born.

Isn't it equally irrational when the "pro life" people (g.w. bush) are for the death penalty? If life (even in the forn of an embryo) is so sacred, how can a pro-lifer agree with terminating a life at any stage?

Very simple. We're talking about scum that rape, kill and mutilate innocent people. Convicts who serve time for violent crime, then are released, only to go back and murder. These criminals' lives are not sacred!

The unborn babies, on the other hand, have done no wrong. Isn't it the responsibility of humans to stick up for the defenseless?

It is fact that the overwhelming number of abortions are used as a birth control device.
