Since you are pro-life, does that also mean you are against the death penalty?

No, Pro lifers are for the death penalty, and they kill doctors.
Funny isnt it? They think that life is sacred.
But if everything that ever lived before is dead, and everything that is alive now will die, where's the sacred part?

You're kidding. What a weak argument against the plates. Fear of reprisal from fellow motorists?! Are you unfamiliar with bumper stickers? Many bumper stickers, including pro-life ones, are MUCH more provocative than these plates. If you believe abortion is murder how could this possibly deter you?
I would have appreciated a reasonable argument against these plates, but not a cowardly one.

"Does that mean that if the other side comes up with a Pro-Choice license plate, a portion of their proceeds will go to Planned Parenthood or some other such organization? I don't think I would like that. "

Fair's fair. You wouldn't like fairness?

I'd like the state to stop being involved in fund-raising and promotion of viewpoints at all.
Just identify the vehicle.

Freaks and fringe groups, clearly far worse than commonly shared beliefs, as evil as they may be.

Neurotypical.

Your post has some validity; there is always a personal risk to having an opinion or a belief; however, what troubles me with your concern about prolife license plates is that you see nothing wrong with saving the whales - but you see something wrong with saving human beings?? Being prolife is the most natural response to human life - abortion, euthanasia is contrary to human life - and in America, the majority of folks, favor life over abortion; our attitudes have changed over the years; it is cool to be prolife.

I have to respond to Bob of Hudson; I have to differ with you; SOME pro-life people may be in favor of the death penalty; but from experience, most people who mature in the pro-life movement, come to realize that ALL human life is sacred, and even in the case of those facing the death penalty; That killing off a person doesn't bring back those who were taken; HOWEVER - there is clearly a difference between innocent human life and one that has committed a grievous crime, with full knowledge of the consequences of their actions. In my eyes, they are two very different issues; it is better to compare the reasons we use to rationalize abortion to euthanasia or the lynching of slaves; now, you are comparing apples to apples. All human life is sacred; and if one innocent person dies from the death penalty in my belief, that is too many.
