His actions were a direct result of his death. Combative x resisting arrest + extremely poor health = death. The defense scoundrel are going to try and use the 30-40 cop vs 1 defense as evidence but an educated jury will see right threw this. I've been in plenty of 4-5 cops vs 1 inebriated combative and resisting mongrel while trying to effect an arrest. That's all you can fit in pile. Any more and the 4-5 cops start to get pummeled by there own. This clown fought and the cops fought back until in he was custody. Ya he probably had bruises consistent with a beating bu it sure sounds like his ticker just stopped ticking.

I think the medical examiner knows how to do his job. He ruled it a homicide. Did you see the post mordem pictures on the news? Clearly bright purple boot prints on his body. Dont cops have things like tazers and pepper spray nowadays? A badge is not a license to beat the life out of people. You must be a cop.

Where did you read this? This idiot fought with the police and they fought back. If a police officer tells you your under arrest, you have no right to resist, even if you think they are wrong. Take it up with the courts.
What were you doing the night this happened? I was home with my wife and kids. Sounds like this guy was irresponsible and now his wife wants money.

Image if this clown just sat there and took the $100.00 citation for the joint. Instead of assaulting a police officer then resisting arrest, fighting like a mad man. He made it the barracks OK. Conscious and still combative.
I guess the beating could not have been that bad. What about his past criminal history? What about his past/present health history? I wonder what he be doing today if he acted civilized?

Actually a story in the globe reported he was unresponsive when they got him there and went to book him. he may very well have been unconscious the entire ride to the barracks. They probably just thought he was sleeping it off. Unless you performed the autopsy I dont see how you can determine the beating wasn't that bad.

Hey I have a bridge to sell, interested? Globe story you Moron.
When all the facts emerge guess what?
No indictment or criminal charges.
He is dead because of his own actions.
No sympathy here.

Why bother I'm sure your right. A jury will not be swayed by the bright purple and red boot prints stamped on his back. He probably inflicted them on himself on the ride to the barracks.

To the wise -
When approaching the servant of two masters - decide first' the one you will approach and how be sure of what you are working to see in either - or as it is known - this will be witnessed over and over again from the other Master.

He was out drinking, using drugs, and when he got caught assaulted the police.

If he did have a pre-existing health problem maybe he should have used a little more common sense.

It's all about the money now, he brought it upon himself and only has himself to blame

Sure this guy could have had a bad ticker, could have been combative as well as caught up in the moment. If you're a good cop you know how to handle it, and more importantly not be caught up in the same moment. If you're using excessive force on all combative people than yes it's reasonable to think that some will die!

So to all the cops here defending the beating inflicted upon this man. I ask you, why didnt they just taze him? Is it neccessary to beat the ever livingshit outta someone? maybe if the sprayed and tazed him he would still be alive.

Well moron, not all departments have tasers.

Here's the deal:

(1) He struck a FEMALE officer,(2) he attempted to flee, and (3) upon being caught, he resisted and continued to resist while being arrested.

Given the behavior that he exhibited, no one can possibly guarantee he will not get injured during the arrest. Keep in mind that it was unknown whether or not he possessed any weapons.

Every officer on scene knew that the Eagle Tribune was next to the checkpoint, and as such, they were all aware of bored and hungry news journalists peering out their office windows.

His addiction to opioids and the risky life style HE CHOOSE to live is the reason why he is deceased.

You make your bed, you lie in it.
