That's the wrong juxtaposition. Pretend it's a Catholic Church instead. No one would care.

So long as the said church is away from playgrounds, Little League baseball parks, daycare providers and other places where children gather, it's OK.

Don't build any mosque near nuclear power plants, chemical plants, gun powder plants, any place that produces sharp objects, airports, public transportation, bridges, tunnels, wait a minute.

Their god is a desert god, wherever their god goes it creates a wasteland where nothing grows on both the land and in the mind.

So their mosque belongs in the desert, where it is more at home.

I was going to say something like that, but not as well as you said it. My blessings on you.

completely wrong analogy. islam is a political ideology, not a race. it is not compatible to democracy. it does not belong in any democratic nation. the problem is, since people also believe in the other religions, which are all false and dangerous as well, islam can say it is a religion and thus get the same protection. islam demands complete submission to the word of the koran. a true muslim cannot abide by the US Constitution because he does not believe man made laws can trump the word of the koran.

Many gods--including Yahweh--originated in the desert. I suspect it has something to do with the people of antiquity being severely dehydrated and seeing visions and things that weren't actually there.

All religion is BS.

And "true" christians and jews believe the bible trumps manmade laws. In fact, society is only possible because most religious people only halfway believe, and therefore will compromise. When you get people who really and truly believe everything in their holy book, you get people flying airplanes into buildings, the inquisition, the crusades, etc.

i agree with you. i hate all religions, and i think if you halfway believe then you should get the balls to say you dont believe. anyway, i still dont agree that all religions are the same. name one muslim dominated nation with even a hint of individual freedoms and human rights, equailty for gays, equality for women, etc.

It is only a matter of degree. It was only a few years ago that the Supreme Court struck down laws making sodomy a crime, and believe me, there's plenty of xtian fundies still outraged over that one. Believe me, if religious nutcases like we have here get their way, there will be far less difference between us and them, except as to what we call the wellspring of our ignorance.

It can now be decreed. A mosque can be built next to the following sites. Next to any Planned Parenthood building, NOW headquarters, any Starbucks, any Gay Bar also next to Barney Frank's house, next to Fenway Park, next to any Democratic Campaign Headquarters this will help to cut down paperwork and share each others talking points.
