Cardimino ridiculed the concert at the Mohawk on his show Monday night. My wife and I went downtown at 6ish so that we could eat before the 8:00 show. We first went to Desperado's but they had a wait except for the window tables and I hate those so we walked on. The Hub also had a wait so we decided to keep going. EVERY restaurant downtown was doing well! And this was the 29th of the month when most locals have no money to spend! My point is that the event worked! That theater needs a lot of work, but it can serve it's purpose and help the downtown!

I have eaten at The Hub quite a lot and I have to say everytime my family has gone there, be it for lunch or dinner we have ALWAYS had to wait because it was always a full house. They are a wonderful restaurant with great food. I find it very hard to believe that at 6pm it was almost empty. Just saying how it has been every time I've gone there.

Cardiminoe forgot Mass Moca had concerts before it officially opened. The concert club space was smaller, less doors, rough condition and packed with people standing room only. He forgets what Barrett allowed. Anything to get credit and photos of himself in the paper.

I saw Kansas there. Small & intimate, but it could have used indoor plumbing! I loved it though.

I saw Little Feat there. I still have the small ad poster for it.
BOC played there too.
You could feel the excitement in the Big Y parking lot. We parked there. It was amazing for N.A.
We really need more of this type of stuff and tap into the baby-boom golden year people.
There's a ton of retired municipal workers out there. I'm one of them, and I would love to see Little Feat again, in N.A.

I don't think that the place needs to be state of the art in terms of expense either. If the theater is clean and comfortable, the acts will draw the people. Spend the money on the sound system, get rid of the mold, create a lobby and let's go!! This project doesn't need to cost 5-10 million dollars!

5-10 million is the new low figure. Don't forget ADA, construction, plumbing, electric, architects and engineers. Once public funding is involved you can't slap together boards and glue. Barrett's original plan would run 10-20 million today.

Aren't they being supported by a grant?
