Hi everybody, my family and I are moving to TN. I wanted to find a nice neighborhood where I would not have to fear that people did not want me there. Norris seems to be a nice place and its close enough to Knoxville for my boyfriend to go to work and a decent distance to my school. I just wanted to know how race relations are there because we do not want to be in a place where we are not wanted. Where we live now there is a lot of diversity, but from what I have read online there is not a lot of diversity in Norris. Are the majority of people nice and welcoming? I can deal with a handful of racist people but just not the whole town against us. Thank you for your feedback.

I honestly don't think you would have any problems living here.

Your family wouldn't have any problems. The folks here are very welcoming and accepting...one of the best things about living in a small community.

I would love to see more diversity here. I think you would be more than welcome to live here.

Norris is a great community. Very accepting and very family oriented. It is safe and clean. the color of your skin will make no difference. Good neighbors are good neighbors no matter what ethnicity they are.

Norris is a great town, especially if you have kids. It's really tight knit, the community is friendly, and it's beautiful. But it's not diverse. I don't think there's any black families in town at all, actually.
