The "invitation only" opening of the new What's Cookin" restaurant in the old Watt's Department Store building was great. While only 120 were invited for the trial run, over 300 were served. The staff was stressed to the max but did a great job of taking care of everyone even though the kitchen staff was overwhelmed.
They have a great menu, good food, good service and fair prices. Give them a try.

If you liked Fajita Hill's food when it was open in Camden, then you will love the food at What's Cookin. Mike and Keith have done a terrific job of furnishing the place and the menu is wonderful. Camden really needs a pick me up and this place is one....I'm sure as time goes on, the staff will get their act together. It's a large dine-in place and it takes lots of people to make it run. Give it a try and see how well you like the food. We love it!

The food was great. Came out a little slowly but it was because it was so packed in there.

We took our kids back to What's Cookin', around 5 pm on Friday....We waiting 1 1/2 hours for our food to get to our table. My spouse and I ordered hamburger steaks. We were expecting the meat to have the good marinade that Fajita Hill used, but it was not that good, not marinated, dry and the veggies were only cook a little, still crunchy :) We were very disappointed in our meal but enjoyed looking at the decor....it will probably be a long time before we go back. We can cook better chicken breast and burgers on our George Foreman grill.....and save money also.

on friday night i heard the line of people was out the door, so you should have expected a long wait time!! the quality of food should have been good though.

Yes, we expected a long wait time.....Hope they get they service time and quality of food up to class. If they use the Fajita Hill marinade on the chicken breast and the hamburger steaks, then we would live to go back sometimes.....

I know for a fact that the marinade on the chicken is the same as Fajita Hill's was. Don't know about the hamburger steaks. One thing to keep in mind though is that it's not Fajita Hill, there are just a few recipes that are the same.
I've heard that the wait is at least an hour if the house is packed. They've been putting signs on the doors just in case people don't expect it.

Honestly, I was not impressed with this eating establishment. It was so "smoky" inside. I suspect they have some kind of ventilation problem. The chips were stale, the salsa was just fair, and I did not like the chicken. It was very blann. I hate to be negative but I'm just stating the facts. Maybe in a few weeks they will get it together and really start serving some really good food. I know they are probably overwelmed by all the business but when the new wears off maybe things will improve.

Finally had a chance to eat there with the wife.
No so bad. The salsa was okay, tasted like canned stuff, but not too bad.

Ahh Fajita Hill.....that place has floor so dirty you could grown you own beens and rice if you could pick up your foot because of the sticky goo left all over the place. I had a burr-i-to it spelled some funky way at what cookin and I would have been better off getting a Taco bell burrito supream and it would have cost 1/3 of the price. The food at this place sucks bad!! These people and others in town all think they can cook mexican food when all it realy is just blan horrible garbage made to humble a fried food southern palet. Who ever heard of everything being ground beef!! Steak or real beef flavored with chilie powder and cheese sauce slopped all over everything. You people really need to make a trip to Mexico where real mexican eat or go to Southern Ca or New Mexico for some real food. Don't get me started on the Tex Mex garbage where they make everything sweet to kill the flovor of something that is too spicey for a white people to eat. Go to Taco Bell at least the food is cheaper and tastes better than this place or the one around the corner!!

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aries

Christmas Eve finds you happy and eager to get the most out of the day. You're in a rather sentimental mood, so if you've got time you'll relish the chance to watch a favourite film, especially if it means you've got to get out the hankies. A friend's kindness or sensitivity will delight you - and make you wonder how you can reciprocate.
