'Unwrongful accidental death' is that a technical term? Yes, I'm sure she did settle. She needed the money and right then. As everyone knows she was living in one of John's houses at the time. Who wants to stay there and see if they don't get killed next? Seems since John is so fond of using the OJ case I will too. Did you know he (OJ) was found innocent in his criminal trail but guilty in his civil trail? Civial cases mean exactly zip. John is tired of being in jail. Hence his oh so smooth break out plans. Diana went to jon's mom and asked her if she could move into the fir ridge house and live there with her. jon's mom of course was unable to do that since sensitive case material was lying around and she (jon's mom)explained that to Diana. Since Diana couldn't get into the fir ridge house she moved into the 20325 house. The house where the Aug. 19th insident took place. Diana had moved into that house in july 08. Sept 08 Jon's mom went with power of attorney in hand to collect her son's things and was refused access to them. That's the way law and order is on Vashon. It was told to Jon's mom by a so called friend of Diana's that she was sleeping in Jon's bed. Of all the rooms and furniture in that house she crawls her scank ass into his bed. the woman has problems. everyone thinks jon is this bad guy. what are you going to do if someone attacked you. jon's attorney has the answering machine message left by ron threating jon. and when she heard it, it scared her.
And it would have to take an unstable person to sleep in the persons bed who shot there husband. As for the civil suit against jon, public knowledge. look it up.

From what I hear, Jon's attorneys keep requesting a later-date trial. They are trying to prove self-defense. If self defense was an actuality, the attorneys would already have had him out of jail. This does not sound like an innocent man (he's been in jail for 2 years now). If I had been in jail for 2 years and was innocent, I believe I would get some new attorneys.

Having spent much time with friends that lived with him before Vashon, I have to say he's a strange, depersonalized, Slingblade-acting fellow that did nothing short of creep me out. Besides having to be explained .....WHY.... a person shouldn't wander a shared apartment nude, he seemed eerily out of touch with any sort of normal, natural human interaction. We really, really don't want nor need to hear about his mother cooking naked often, sharing with her his pornographic tapes (l33t: SRS!!), and discussing XXX-rated things that you can do with Pop Rocks. I wish I had a photo of the hole he punched into the [hollow-core] door of one of those roommates after some silly game. He had a short fuse, a bleak grasp of what is "normal" and decent, was always scheming to make money (even if it's selling sodas to his roommates and getting 20 bucks a month profit, nevermind...a job?), even if it meant taking advantage of people by tricking (as "cleverly" as this slow-witted creep could be).....scheming. Always. We all had a tough time in school, maybe Kunkel more than others--perhaps because of his unnatural peculiarities--but life goes on. It's about more than getting back at people by becoming a "better" person though conniving ways; it's about ACTUALLY actually moving on and being a GOOD person, a self-satisfied one: one who doesn't weird out every new person he meets and always give us that "that Kunkel guy is really weird".

When (or IF; I'm quite skeptical) a person comes at you with a cheap replica sword that cuts like a butter-knife, you run and call the cops. Or you kick the crappy movie-prop "sword" out of his hand, then call the cops. Or you fist-fight the FIFTY-THREE-year-old "meth addict" (who, if it was the case, only damns Kunkel's case further, for such a person would be pretty frail and thus would be pretty easy for a healthy male in his mid-20's to neutralize without much harm), then call the cops. If it's a real, genuine-made, more-than-razor-sharp Japanese Katana sword (which belonged to Kunkel, so he'd know), and a gun is your only real defense, then you DISABLE the person by popping ONE shot into a NON-LETHAL area like the lower leg! THEN CALL THE G.D. COPS AND AN AMBULANCE! The person clearly can no longer attack you from any farther from where he is, and is now probably more focused upon his bleeding leg, but help will arrive soon for everyone. Then you take it to the civil court.

YOU DON'T TURN THE PERSON INTO LUNCHMEAT!

ONE shot the torso from a 12-gauge shotgun (a larger-sized ammunition and power than some other shotguns, btw) from across the room is enough to mortally-wound a person, and certainly stop their attack, nomatter how drugged up. The first damned shot already slaughtered his gut; why the next two?! Besides, he ain't gettin' that money back now! Keep better books, trailer-boy.

I have a question. Some people on here were claiming Kunkel had loads of money. And ron stole 300k or 500k from Kunkel.

If Kunkel had all this money why was he driving a Chevy Aveo. That is the cheapest Production car in th United States. The absolute cheapest POS new car you can buy. The only people I see driving Aveos are old ladies who are on a tight monthly budget.

And also I saw in the he was bragging about owning this POS 80s C4 corvette (the ugly old model from the 80s that is cheap, boring, shitty, and ugly). That thing is only worth like 5 or 6 grand maybe.

He didn't "work hard" by ever going to college lets say a Doctor or Engineer and get a professional job or anything of that nature.

First of all AAron...it was never said that Ron took 300,000.00+ from Jon, it was said Todd did. Second of all, I don't know where you shop, but every where you go someone is making money off someone else..your employer as well. And what do you know about the sword? So what if it couldn't cut butter? I could do serious damage with a car key, finger nail clippers or for that matter a butter knife. ANd to comment to the other statements Jon had 3 Aveo's a Silverado pick up and 2 chevy work vans. He also, like many people on Vashon, provided a service to the residents on Island. He had a land scaping/lawn mowing business. Jon WORKED HARD for what he had. And when it comes to fighting size means nothing. I have a friend who is 5'7" at best and can beat down a man 3x's his size.
