My property taxes never rise appreciably, though of course they go up every year (in fact, if I wasn't being asked to educate other peoples' children, I'd be very rich, indeed); I'd thought this was about stealing money from the average homeowner, but having read it, it's not. They've done this before, and my increase didn't change worth a crumb. So, no personal beef, here. Because it's not about bilking, this time.
It's about running damage control. They're "covering the loss of AirTran". Well they should, because their rich friends actually *vote* in local elections and their rich friends--as with all wealthy folk--don't like to be inconvenienced. But, I love how they're trying to put a "building the Community" spin on it, again, when it's not about Plus, but instead trying to erase a big Minus.
