After warning, Cultra moves Normal campaign office to different building
State Sen. Shane Cultra acknowledged Wednesday that he ran a campaign office out of a public building owned by the Town of Normal, but said he had been told doing so would be all right.

Rhetorical Q: WHY is the "wink-wink, nudge-nudge" of the Old Twin Cities (which I love, BTW, not knocking it) all right as far the $1 to rent-hustle, but Not all right as far as "you can use it for what you like and we just won't look in on you"? One could argue, "The Press Will find out", but they found out about Both!
This isn't the old Dick Van Dyke Show. It's not "one foot on the floor". If you're gonna be in bed with local peons of power, be in bed all the way; if you're gonna play the PC, Pollyanna game, do it with a whole heart. What you're reading about, folks, is circumstantial ethics. They abound, in the Town Hall.
...and other than that, hey, Ratso Rizzo? I'd like to rent space for a strip mall. Why don't I just hand the Town a double sawbuck and we can call it even.
