I hope real justice will prevail and the prosecutors that deliberately withheld the info will do jail time. People that do that sort of thing should not have privileged immunity.

I atrongly agree with you, kent. It is far too common for prosecutors to engage in misconduct in order to win convictions. Up to now, they have been immune from lawsuits and any repercussions. This needs to change.
Prosecuting crime used to be about seeking justice. These days it's more about getting convictions in order to advance careers, political or otherwise.

Yeah, except that the prosecutor from the original trial is, get this, now a judge in the county Alan was convicted in.

In the original trial, the court refused to allow Beaman's defense to introduce evidence against an unidentified person referred to as John Doe, the prosecutors claimed that Doe was not a viable suspect. But the Illinois Supreme Court opinion states that Doe was indeed a viable suspect !
