I have dealt with WC claims for my employer. Problem: if employee tests positive for drugs/alcohol they are NOT denied benefits or a settlement ... does that make sense? I have had carpal tunnel - once you have surgery it is over and scars are minimal. Why have a "settlement"; pay the bills/benefits and over. It will only take a little common sense to clean up the mess the state has made.
