Louisburg Teen Killed In ATV Accident

An ATV accident has claimed the life of a Franklin County teenager. The State Highway Patrol in Henderson said 13-year-old Kelsey Jamal Perry of Louisburg pulled into the path of a 2007 Chevy pickup truck.

Such a tragic accident. Prayers out from myself for the family of the child.

Not to say ATVs are safe, but people need to be more observant of their vehicles around them. The child may have pulled out in front but the driver of the truck could probably have easily been driving more defensively and been aware that there was an inexperienced child riding near his vehicle.

Man you have got to be kidding me right? I grew up with the guy driving the truck and your comment shows how stupid u must be. Do you know who is riding in the woods next to you at all times when going down the road? This has seriously hurt this guy because of what happened and it was not even his fault. The parents should had been watching their child, point blank. Now this guy is suffering because of irresponsible parents.

look, this was no ones fault..it was nothing any11 could do to stop it..it was all an accident..i was very very good friends with kelsey and let me say, e was one of the nicest, funniest people you could ever meet..he was one of my best friends and i dont want any blaming this on him or the truck driver for this incident..we all love and miss kelsey and we should be focusing on who's fault it is or what the parents should have done..i know the parents of kelsey too and they are kind loving parents..they never would have thought this would happen..so for all of you blaming this on ANYONE..your the idiot..no one is happy a.b it..even the driver himself i am sur, is in mourning..even though its been a few months now..i still cry..i love you kelsey
