I agree... and I lean more toward the atheist beliefs. If something offends you, and it's not being forced on you, avoid it. If I chose to put up an atheist monument (whatever that would look like), then I wouldn't want somebody tearing it down. Everything offends somebody. There's no way around it. The government can't go around monitoring every last little detail of everyone's lives. That's just ridiculous. We need more tolerance and respect in our society.

I always hike to that cross. My friends' parents actually own that area and I see the cross as a destination to get to. I don't undstand why it would offend someone. Look to the majority: Most people think it's lovely, even though it has graffii all over it.
