My thoughts exactly. I actually indirectly know "trey." through friends and aqquaintances. I have not heard one good thing about him. I have had an arguement over the phone with him when I was 19 and called my brother, threatening to bring his "boys" over to the house to assault my brother. I screamed at him that I was not afraid of him and I would make sure he would pay, if he decided to that and hung up. He must have gotten scared, because he did not follow through with his threat. I also know tons of other "dirt" on him(none of which is good) which I will not disclose for legality and privacy reasons. Involuntary manslaughter? I hope that this investigation does continue because I don't care who you are, but how does one accidentally shoot their spouse in the chest, and an area in which there was no way she could be revived? I don't buy that. Coupled with his history of having a temper, and having numerous guns in his home, it's pretty clear that he should get second degree murder. If not, though, they need to sentence him to the maximum of 20 years in jail. It's so obvious this was on purpose. He just turned himself in on Wednesday, which must mean he was denying shooting her at all at the beginning. And the police responded to the sound of gunshots. If he were innocent, and really did shoot her accidentally, then why in the world did he not call 911? Because he panicked and was guilty, that's why.

I am sure he planned on disposing of the body, had the police not been called by neighbor's who heard the gunfire. And to be released on Personal Recognance? Are the police or magistrate crazy? He shouldn't have had a bond and been held until trial and conviction. This sickens me. And makes me reallt question our justice system here in Virginia. The man is an ovious threat who took another innocent human beings' life. Why should he be given any priviledges or fair treatment unwarranted? He needs to spend the rest of his adult years in prison. Otherwise, he will be released in a year, and on to his next unsuspecting victim.

I feel bad for the victim's family, the family of Gillian Lockney, who probably don't kno the real "trey". Who knos he could have changed, from the past, but what about the child. I know she doesn't want to be in that house where it happend with her in the same room. I know Gillian was the stepmom,(I've known Gillian and trey for quite sumtime) the child needs to be with her real mother and family. Its not fair shes "stuck" in that house where this tragic event occured, wuts going on?.........

I am so disturbed by this. I know Kia from the neighborhood. I mean, his daughter was in the house and witnessed her father murder her step-mother? And yet she still remains in the house under custody with the killer? What kind of Child protection laws do we have? None? That could have been her that got shot and killed! Also, I read in the obituary that his daughter was referred to as Gillian's daughter. This is not true at all. Kia has a biological mother that has not even been mentioned. "Trey" only had custody and we can see that the Judge on that case made a great call placing her in his home instead of with her real Mother or Grandparents on her Mother's side. I rarely saw Kia, it was as if she was sheltered or closed off from speaking to any of the neighbors children. I rarely saw him either, except outside to smoke a brief cigarette. The ONLY time I ever saw Gillian was when she was returning from work or leaving for work. It was like he had them trapped in that house. I feel so sorry for Gillian, because as far as I saw, Trey didn't work, so it must have been her supporting the household. And this is the thanks she gets? I hope that the investigation is ongoing, as I do not think this was an accident. How do you shoot someone in just the right spot to kill them instantly and say it was an accident? In the foot, arm, even shoulder, maybe. But if someone is shot ion the chest, and perishes within minutes, it is obvious that this man had the gun cocked right at her, and knew exactly where to shoot her so that she would not survive. He should get the maximum sentence. He is a cold blooded killer in my opinion. He also had several gun violations and charges that were dropped. Hello? Does anyone think this is a coincidence? He has gotten away with far too much for far too long, and now a family will never have their daughter back because of his lapse in judgement, they will never see her smile again, nor will they hear her sweet voice. He is a coward that uses weapons to threaten and harm those aroiund him. I wouldnt be surprised if he has used scare tactics on Kia to make her stick by his side, in fear that he would kill her to if she ever spoke of his true character.

Considering that he was released on an unsecured bond...what does his family do? Does anyone know about his parents? I've known Gillian since middle school & it's just so hard to imagine that she (or anyone) could become involved with a person like Trey...who is obviously unstable, raising a young teenager in the same home he murdered his wife in...awesome Justice system at the Beach.

Kia is a good girl and gillian loved her and so did her father. He is not a cold blooded killer like some of you are making this out to be.Kia doesnt need to be with her maternal mother or maternal grandmother and father. She needs to be with Gillians mom to be raised appropiately. Kia mothwer is a know drug addict and her grandparents are abusive. So people get the story right before start bashing people. The child is the one that is lost in this siutation. Gillian took care of her step daughter and pride herself in making sure that she was taking care of. kia was her life.

Ummmmm.....not saying the Dad doesnt love her, but why the Mom bashing? He isnt a safe person to be around....period! News just came out that he was charged with stealingh also a year ago while he was still with Gillian but he got let off. The guy gets let off on more crimes than Catholic priests get no punishment for molesting small children. Just because he was never convicted of any of these gun brandishing, stealing, and assault charges, does not mean he should be labeled a wonderful person and a stellar community member. He has gotten lucky and probabvly because he had the money to get a good lawyer to get him off on the charges. But hes been charged more than a mexican waving a red flag in a bull ring. Doesnt anyone see this as odd? Quit defending him. Kia doesnt need to be with him or with her Mom. She needs to be on her own where she doesnt witness such tragedy. The poor girl is probably already messed up in the head from her stepmother being shot in front of her. Like the latest peoster said....this doesnt seem right. Because it IS NOT! Somewhere, somehow, this kid has some pull in the judicial system, and he will never learn his lesson if people like "Be Nice" keep sticking their nose in the sand and trying to make him out to be this great guy but turning the attention to the mother. The biological mother has nothing to do with this, and she doesnt need to be with either of them in my opinion. But leave her out of it.......At least she didnt kill anyone in front of her daughter! My God, what is wrong with some people!

AND USING THE MOTHER AS A PUNCHING BAG........UMMMMM, we arent talking about her. BUT IN A LAWYERS WORLD, THAT'S WHAT WE CALL DIVERSION TACTICS. POINT THE BLAME AT SOMEONE IRRELEVANT TO THE TOPIC SO THAT THEW SUBJEST CHANGES AND THE ATTENTION GETS OFF THE REAL PROBLEMATIC PERSON HERE! Ughhhhhhhhhhh.

Gillian was my best friend in the world when we were very young and lived a few houses down. My mom and her mom are still closest of friends - 25 years later. I didn't stop crying for 2 weeks when I heard about this.
I had all the same horrible thoughts about what might have actually happened that night, too. And I was suspicious that he could have influenced his daughter's story, as well. But when I spoke to Mrs. C and found out the entire story... Be Kind actually has it about right. Trey may have gotten away with a lot in the past, and I'm sure he's a piece of sh*t, and I will forever hate him for killing Gillian and breaking so many hearts (especially her mom's), but I believe he did not purposefully shoot Gillian. Kia also had a friend over who witnessed it. I don't think Trey could have influenced her story as easily as Kia's. And the details in his story aren't something liars usually include in their B.S. cover-up.
That said, it's no accident to have a gun in the house with 11-year-old girls, or to have bullets loaded in that gun, and I hope that bastard lives a long time to be haunted by what he destroyed.

The guy is a total looser. Shot the only thing he had going for him. He fucks up everything in his life and ruins everyone's life he comes in contact with. He still cant get it together and he never will. Except for his mommy, rven his own family doesn't want anything to do with him.
