If I were you, I'd run from VCU like the plague...this advice is good for those planning to study at VCU or for those considering getting treatment at their "hospital." I had a MRSA infection on my nose. You cannot effectively treat one of these without lancing the blister and then giving the patient anti-biotics. Well, they prescribed the anti-biotics but refused to lance the blister. I told them and then some snotty NOVA kid (student) purposefully stuck a needle in the wrong part of my nose (squirting water on it before he did...pretending it was a local anesthetic) and caused me great pain without coming close to the infection. I went home and got worse...eventually, I had to pop the blister on my own weeks later and that is when I got better. However, VCU pursued me for years for the $250 debt for my one visit there where the kid pierced my nose. VCU is dangerous and you take your life in your own hands there. Moreover, it is a state institution so they can withhold your tax refunds to pay for their shoddy "services."
