It is really heart breaken. It got to be something done to stop all this killing. We need more police walking the streets in these high crime neighbors hoods. They need to be on the beat 24/7. Parents of teens have to be held accountable too. Parents have to get more involved with their children friends and activities. The community have to start educating them and discipling before it turn to murder. These murders have committed other crimes before it turn to pulling the trigger. First time offenders need to be made to do community work and their parents should have to assist them in it. The low income housing program need to implement some classes. They need to enforce them too. Violence is not tolerated and if so your parents have know where to live.

My heart really goes out to all the victims families. My heart goes out to the murders too. They think they are so tough and cool. Murder is something you have to live with for the rest of your life.

The anwer is very, very very simple. Stop having babies out of wedlock repeatedy. Get an education, then get a job, then get married and both parents take responsibility for their kids. It is NOT the governments job to raise your kids.

That is very much true. It is not the government responsibility.
However, it is a major problem that need to be addressed by the government. They providing low income housing so why not implement a program to help stop violence. If this was going on in your neighbor hood, i am sure you would want some government assistant. it will make it to your neighbor hood if it continue. So please stop and think before you judge. And i work for the government and live in very nice neighbor. I still care about other people.

This is NOT in my neighborhood because WE as a community will not allow it. WE are not cowards and tell punks that if they remain they will leave in a coroner's car.
If residents don't care then drugs, gangs and crime will run rampant. Thank heaven for the 2nd Amendment.

Let me guess? My tax dollars will fund that as well right? Since you and others are so caring, why dont you all get together, sell all your possessions and help out? Your caring as long as you can take from others.

You are saying that like everyone has the opportunity you might have. Everyone payes taxes not just you. It really show how greedy some people are when they get money, because you forget about everyone under the poverty line. You forget about single mothers raising kids by themselves working to put food on the table. Young brothers are taken by senseless crimes that happen country wide along with every other minority group because we are poverty stricken. But WE STILL PAY TAXES and we out here dying trying to stay alive. So I'm glad your comfortable, but we get it from the rough stop complaining about the violence you see and lend a hand.

A community ?
We don't have gated communities, or neighborhood associations that control minor spray painting problems by young kids that's mad at their parents. We got streets, and street signs and low income housing that you wouldn't get out and walk through if it was broad daylight outside. It takes alot for a young man to live everyday and go through some of the things out here. You talk about how tough you are but you not patrolling the streets protecting YOUNG kids that's still in middle school and younger from violence. You must first act in order to make change. For the better or worse, action must first be taken for there to be a reaction. Remember this young man, he is only a couple years younger then me and I know the struggle because I'm living it. His life is gone, don't put that on him nor family. It is the ways of the world, and if you aren't willing to help change then stay in your community and know you never gave back to us, the less fortunate. Where we are fortunate and happy to just eat and stay living with a roof over our head

Everyone does have the same opportunity, but some make bad choices over and over, generation after generation. Did someone force you to quit school, to make babies and not support them, to take drugs, to not get a job????

No your wrong, everyone is not born with the same opportunities in life and that is a setback. This is a 13yr old. Not a 40yr old dope fiend remember that. I'm 18 and seen many friends go by things like this. People who didn't do drugs and weren't old enough to buy a pack of cigs. You are centered around a stereotype of young low income minority households which I can tell you know nothing about. Until you have spent a day in the life your opinion is more of a judgment call on a stereotype rather then actual fact and criticism. But I can't blame you because as humans we tend to judge and fear what we don't know.

I haven't forgotten! I just could care less. Single mothers? How is that my fault? Yeah im comfortable, because i made the right choices. Liberals and losers hate that. Tough, deal with it. You say your out there dying and trying to stay alive? Again that's your choice. You can move. Typical helpless liberal who wants another entity to make your choices for you.

When will it stop? Good question. We're living in troubling times when a gun is pretty easy to get. And carried by a video generation who spend hours sitting in front of x-box practicing their shooting skills. I read the post about low income housing, children born out of wedlock, absentee parents, etc. All of these things have gone on for as long as I can remember and I'm pushing 60. Housing, neighborhoods and number of parents in the home does not shoot people. People shoot people. So until the people who shoot are held accountable regardless of their circumstances, or age, people will continue to shoot people. And it happens everywhere.

And when these thugs are held accountable, you will be the first person to cry racism, because the poor darlings didn't have the same opportunities as those that made different decisions. You can't have it both ways. Wise up, it's about time your almost 60.

Your obviously prejudice. And love to try and belittle minorities so I hope you meet your fate from one of these "young thugs" you see us all as.

I don't have a gated community or communist run association. I have a community made up of people who care about their property and where they live. A community that cares about NOT letting thugs control the streets. A community that CARES about its children. YOU decide what type of community you want. My parents lived in poverty growing up and a poor neighborhood. They did not have crime because the families would beat the $hit out of their kids that tried it. Today most poor parents care about what the government can do for them and don't care about trying to help their own kids. My folks did it, I'm doing it and your lazy azz can do it. You just chose to be a victim and whine about it.

Your parents were poverty stricken .? But you weren't. What you know about food stamps and being hungry. If you didn't get it from the rough don't preach to me cause you know nothing about it you just have an opinion on what you think it might be like. Times have changed since your parents, wonder how old you are. Cause I'm 18 and I can guarantee I provide more for myself and my family then you have ever done. It's called sacrifice. Glad you living comfortably, but let a young person like me get the opportunity to make it I will. And I wish the young man Lamonee was able to grow older to make it out of school and have an opportunity. Rich people kill each other too. Yal just pop pills or shoot yourself, you don't have to worry about us killing you cause your weak minded and judgmental and kill yourself. It's a shame, but aye that's what keeps the balance. We kill each other, and yal kill yourselves.

"but let a young person like me get the opportunity to make it I will."
You have the opportunity every freakin' day of your life!!! Take it! Don't wait to have it handed to you! My parents CHOSE to get out of poverty and make sure I was not there. I in turn have done the same to my children.
Stop being the VICTIM. YOU chose your path. Only you. Stop your damn whining and MAN up you pussy! You're 18 so act like it.
