If the sea level is rising in New York and Boston at a faster rate, then in a few years the sea level will be a foot higher there than anywhere in the rest of the ocean.Ships coming in to the harbors will be going uphill, and it will take more fuel for the climb ,so they will have to charge these people more money to deliver the goods.

Maybe they could pump some of that water back out into the ocean. But that would be costly.Oh well, they will figure something out.

Funny how the have certain parts of the world with faster rising sea levels. Actully I live in Nofolk and it isn't that the sea levels have risen but certain parts of land is sinking. Places were they filled in mud flats and built houses. So it isn't the oceans have risen but the land sinking under the weight.
They also have predicted that certain parts of california are going to suffer from a rise of six inches by 2030. What are they basing all these claims. Computer models. Of course those models have never been tested and ironically wander away from reality within five years.
