Carter led Reagan right up to the election. You see how that turned out didn't. Hell, the dems are even losing their black, hispanic and even the gay base!! LMAO

Gay GOP groups on Saturday cheered Mitt Romney's selection of Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan as his running mate.

R. Clarke Cooper, executive director of Log Cabin Republicans, said that “nobody is more qualified to articulate a conservative economic vision to restore the American economy and stimulate job creation.”

And while Ryan scored zero on the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) latest Congressional Scorecard, a measure of an elected official's support for gay rights, Cooper praised Ryan's “consistent willingness to engage with Log Cabin on a range of issues,” saying it “speaks to his record as a fair-minded policymaker.”

----------

The announcement of Paul Ryan as Mitt Romney's running mate is clearly galvanizing GOP voters across the country. Mitt Romney raises $4 million since selecting Paul Ryan.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 46% of voters nationwide, while President Obama 44%

Paul Ryan is an Excellent choice for Vice President. He's a straight shooter and this goes to show that Mitt Romney is very serious about Fiscal Discipline in his new Administration.

Now compare that to the Jackal Obama who's had $1.7 TRILLION Deficits that equaled Bill Clinton's Entire 2000 Budget!

It's too bad that Obama CUT $500 BILLION OUT OF MEDICARE/MEDICAID too. He's Pure Filth!

It's time for Real Leadership, Proven Experience, Pride in America, and Policies leading to American Success!

It's time for Romney/Ryan 2012!!!!!

A top Obama campaign official is being accused of lying over what she knew about the man at the center of a damning super PAC ad tying his wife's death to Mitt Romney.

Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie Cutter appeared on CNN Wednesday morning to say, among other things, that "I don't know the facts" about the case of Joe Soptic, a steelworker who appeared in a controversial ad for the pro-Obama super-PAC Priorities USA. In the ad, Soptic, recounts how his wife died of cancer after he lost his health insurance when his plant was shuttered after a takeover by Bain Capital and other companies working with the private equity firm.

Cutter said she didn't know when Soptic's wife fell ill, or about his health insurance.

Yet in May of this year, Cutter herself hosted a conference call in which Soptic detailed his case to reporters. During the call, as he did in the ad, Soptic explained how his wife fell ill after he lost his job, and how he lost his health insurance. The call took place as Soptic began appearing in Obama campaign ads, and was featured in a profile on the Obama campaign website.

The campaign profile listed Soptic as one of the "faces of Romney economics."

Cutter wasn't the only Obama campaign official caught up in the controversy.

"This is an ad by an entity that's not controlled by campaign. I certainly don't know the specifics of this man's case," campaign adviser Robert Gibbs said on MSNBC. Another Obama campaign spokeswoman separately told reporters that the campaign had no knowledge of the family involved.

Super PACs and the presidential campaigns are technically separate organizations, or are supposed to be. Both presidential campaigns have in the past cited that separation whenever challenged on super PAC ads. Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt again stressed Wednesday, in response to the criticism, that "we can't coordinate with super PACs and didn't produce" the ad.

Obama's watch: Social Security fund slides into permanent deficit

By Stephen Ohlemacher,
Associated Press
Updated 1/27/2011

WASHINGTON — Social Security's finances are getting worse as the economy struggles to recover and millions of baby boomers stand at the brink of retirement.

This year alone, Social Security is projected to collect $45 billion less in payroll taxes than it pays out in retirement, disability and survivor benefits, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday.

The massive retirement program has been feeling the effects of a struggling economy for several years. The program first went into deficit last year — the first deficit since it was last overhauled in the 1980s. But CBO said last year that Social Security would post surpluses for a few more years before permanently slipping into deficits in 2016. That was before they witnessed the Detructive Power of Barack Hussein Obama.

It's a bad time for the nation to be hit with more financial problems. The federal budget deficit will surge to a record $1.5 trillion flood of red ink this year, but that didn't stop Obama from demanding we borrow More.

Obama caught in another Medicare Lie

A new study by a Medicare trustee suggests that the law will actually increase deficits, over the next ten years, by between $346 and $527 billion. Why do the trustee’s numbers differ from those of the CBO, and who’s right? Let’s take a look.

Medicare cuts can’t be double-counted

In March of 2011, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius admitted that the law double-counts its reductions in Medicare spending, by claiming that the law both reduces the deficit and extends Medicare’s solvency.

She was in essence admitting the admin had Lied.

Blahous estimates that at least “$470 billion of the Medicare savings under the ACA scored by CBO through 2021 substitutes for savings required under previous law.” Whether or not you accept his approach depends on whether or not you think that Medicare funds should be segregated from the rest of the budget.

Blahous also takes out the (near-term) deficit-reducing features of the CLASS program, which Sebelius has suspended. CBO has already stated that, due to Sebelius’ actions, they are now modeling the impact of CLASS as zero.

Health-care law will add $340 billion to deficit, new study finds

By Lori Montgomery,
Published: April 9

President Obama’s landmark health-care initiative, long touted as a means to control costs, will actually add more than $340 billion to the nation’s budget woes over the next decade, according to a new study by the board that oversees Medicare financing.

The study is set to be released Tuesday by Charles Blahous, a conservative policy analyst whom Obama approved in 2010 as the GOP trustee for Medicare and Social Security. His analysis challenges the conventional wisdom that the health-care law, which calls for an expensive expansion of coverage for the uninsured beginning in 2014, will nonetheless reduce deficits by raising taxes and cutting payments to Medicare providers.

The 2010 law does generate both savings and revenue. But much of that money will flow into the Medicare hospitalization trust fund — and, under law, the money must be used to pay years of additional benefits to those who are already insured. That means those savings would not be available to pay for expanding coverage for the uninsured.

“Does the health-care act worsen the deficit? The answer, I think, is clearly that it does,” Blahous, a senior research fellow at George Mason University’s Mercatus Center, said in an interview.“If one asserts that this law extends the solvency of Medicare, then one is affirming that this law adds to the deficit. Because the expansion of the Medicare trust fund and the creation of the new subsidies together create more spending than existed under prior law.”

Paul Ryan: Keep Medicare the same for the elderly but we can't continue borrowing money from China, as Obama demands, to pay for Medicare Expansion for young people. We cannot continue passing more and more debt onto our children's backs.

Double Dipsh*t Obama LIED!

CBO and Medicare actuaries acknowledge the double-counting issue.“In practice, the improved [trust fund] financing cannot be simultaneously used to finance other federal outlays (such as the coverage expansions) and to extend the trust fund, despite the appearance of this result from” traditional budget rules, Medicare actuary Rick Foster wrote last year.

And in 2010, the CBO wrote that, absent the Medicare savings, the law would increase deficits by $226 billion through 2019 — instead of decreasing them by the commonly cited $132 billion.
