BTW-The N. Stafford game, 2 pt conversion last year, was **recanted last week** by the side judge who has now quit football and back to his regular job. "I thought the Stafford player beat PHS and was clearly in the endzone during O.T. Film proves him correct in his recant. His explanation, "I was nervous and after the OT, I just wanted to get out of Hampton.
With all the schools recruited by PHS the past 10 years, it has all but ruined the PD. all schools try to get a player, we'll admit, but PHS Coach Dee, Sexton, assts, and Blunt to be, are way overboard. From York to NN, some as many as 5 different schools participate on Phoebus, hence, the stands are empty. The once filled stadiums of the 60s-90s are relegated to <1000 in an 8,000-10,000 Darling, Todd. The days of 19,000 to 23,000 at Dick Price Stadium, States Title, are over.
Sad ending when the PHS.

Sad ending to a great tradition; we can tahank the ADs and VHSL.

54-0 Phoebus loses. The refs could not help that squeaker. I saw the WAVY clips and that skinny QB for PHS was all but 6 ft. under after getting hit by Lake Taylor lineman. I guess the KHS, HHS recruits who came to Phoebus will move to Norfolk now and tryout for Lake Taylor. lol

I think the 23 yard running back who just turned 19 will get a job at Toco Bell near PHS. If TCC gets a flag team, he can audition at age 21 for noes flag tackle. Oh, here is his quote from that 54-0(worst loss in 27 yrs)...
"Today is my birthday and it's like, wow, I'm going home like this?" Pittman said. "Not what I (he left out the verb 'was'--HCS English) expecting. I just wasn't able to get going. My O-line, they *let me down, and I couldn't do anything."

WOW--Sounds like an Obama in the making. Bush and the normal aged 17 year olds blamed. Guess Pitts is down for the struggle..--hehe

Yes Phoebus dropout. I would like fries and 2 Tocos to take with me to the State Football game that Phoebus hasn't bought again. I hear that some of your players are considerig a job with the DP delivering papers that no one want. 54 to zero,,,,that's middle school PE score..

I'm glad Phoebus lost!!! I lost all respect for Phoebus High School when their players stole all those items from the locker room at the state championship and then this year, when the thug player maimed a team mate. Any other student in HCS who had done this, would have been expelled; a punishment much more harsh than the 10 days he received because he's on the football team. I moved years ago so that my child wouldn't be zoned for Phoebus. Still think it's the best thing I ever did.

PSS went from 1976-2001 without anything in football. All o the sudden, you had students leaving Hampton High to play @ PHS. Now all schools re out of control. Foodlion is the best place to recruit football players in Hampton, aisles 1-9 during the summer.

Up until 99, I attended all of my HHS games. Last game I saw was in 99. The game is very sloppy on the high school level today. It use to be ok, fundamentally; now it's like watching hoods play street ball.

lol I can't believe I stumble upon a website about hampton, and see people who live in hampton disrespecting phoebus in such a way. as if Mike Smith didn't write the handbook on recruiting.. I must say , I'm shocked. and that quote from Pittman, KHS 22 you really aren't that much of an idiot to think that PITTMAN left that word out, are you?

again, I don't wath H.S. Football anymore; it's a joke. The days of Newport News vs HHS and/or Bethel vs HHS and 10,000-14,000 attendence are long gone. Fundamentals have changed.

Baseball in the 757 is king now!
