I cant believe that they will arrest grandparents for trying to do somthing about neglect or abuse . There are too many people who dont do anything at all. why not arrest them? isnt it better to do something then nothing at all?

Granny and Grampy could have called CPS or the police or both and the claim would have been investigated and the child probably put in the grandparents' care. But instead they were stupid and took the child, then the grandpa was a complete idiot to fight an officer. i hope he gets enough time in county jail to think about how dumb that was.

Our system is so messed up, it has no integrity. People just can't get along and the more they try the worse the laws that divide them get.

The last 50 years of laws placed on the books should be abolished. They have ruined the country. There is no such thing as upholding the law - the govn't "picks and chooses" which laws it will enforce - illegal immigration is an excellent example. CPS are not friends to a family, but assistants to custody for mothers only !!

Hey Random, I know for a FACT that the child is OK with her parents. That's right PARENTS(plural). While they may have doubts about their own daughter, the baby's father is very much in her life. Her (mother's)grandparents are self-rightious, selfish, nut jobs to have taken that little girl away from her parents. They just wanted things to go their way. It was VERY traumatic and unexpected for all who were involved. "ABC" is completely correct. If they thought that the child was THAT much in danger, then they should have followed the proper chanels. But no, they didn't do that.(probably because they knew that they didn't have the evidence) They chose to do something criminal based on exaggerated concerns for their grandbaby. The law is usually on your side, as long as you cooperate with them. Now they will have less of what they wanted most. Plus, if they screwed up that much with their own daughter, what makes them think that they deserve to raise her baby? You never think that something like this would happen so close to you, but when it does it's suprising (and infuriating) what the uninformed will comment about. Just imagine someone snatching up your child and taking them to another state because they "Think" that you can't handle it... It's horrifying!

after several years of surrepticious grooming,my mother abducted my two daughters and turned everyone against me. that was 17years ago and ive suffered every minute of every day since. Im now unable to work or function due to the ambiguous loss and disenfranchised grief.
The only help ive had is medication and counselling (nodding dog).
All these years and everyone has assumed they were legally taken. My biggest regret is not knowing the word ABDUCTION and its meaning. By saying my children have been stolen, ive lost my children, its been assumed im a bad mother whose just whining.
I cant even get help with moving on. They dont recognise ambiguous loss or disenfranchised grief.
thats the british national health service.
