I remembered a fallen soldier today, October 17th, he died in "1967", in Vietnam, he was a good friend with a contiguous smile and laugh, a good young man of only 20.
If you all out there have read any books on Vietnam and the many battles and hills that were fought for...then read a book called, "They Marched Into Sunlight", Author, David Maraniss.
My dear friend is written in that book, his Platoon Leader did survive Vietnam, but only to come home and be murdered while delivering pizza's.....he was a leader once of a platoon of young men, and still he was as brave as my dear friend who died so young.
He and all the fallen soldiers and wounded soldiers of ours, I raise my hand in "Salute" you....
If out there, Gary s family and or brother read this, I remembered today an important day a young soldier died so long ago on October 17, 1967.
