I just saw a comment on facebook stating Boondocks Pub in Corona is closing after Saturday night. Boondocks seemed like it was thriving, which was unlike the previous businesses in the same spot. Is the landlord a thief and charging too much rent? If so, they can get used to not receiving anything for a while. Any other businesses that are thinking of taking the spot over, think about how much you will lose if a business like Boondocks can't make it. We will miss the place as a decent run establishment. People will be out of work, products will not be purchased, and people will leave the area for other establishments.

Maybe the owner got tired of the bar business. Or maybe just wants to deal with personal issues

Woody has a lot of drama to deal with, but should have sold the business instead of just close the doors this saturday.

The owner just got a DUI. Maybe that had something to do with it

The owner also is going through divorce and may have lost a lawsuit as well with a relative. Sounds like a movie lol

Lots of people will be looking for jobs. Woody should have hired professional bar managers and marketing pros like the bar rescue guy

Maybe woody is too cheap and stubborn for that...he should have reached out for help instead of cave. Maybe the landlord threatened with a pay or quit instead of negotiating? So the woody may have quit instead of pay. Sucks to be people boondocks owes money to...

Wow. Boondocks was always busy. Maybe there was siphoning of money or something. At least the bar didn't literally go up in flames

I think woody's accident and DUI charge made woody think about more important things in life. Owning a bar was just not fun anymore. Too many people lost. Time to get away from the booze.

Same old story. Sex, lies, deception, divorce, lawsuits, crime, debts, gold diggers, etc. only thing missing is drugs. It isn't what you thought it was. Wale up and figure out what happened and why. No surprise this place is closing. Fake management, theft, no one cared, bar owner too busy screwing around to see what was happening. So is this revenge on employees, the landlord, an ex? What goes around comes around

Stuff happens. The bar just failed as the overhead was too high., owner too busy, etc. tough economy and unforgiving landlord. It is what it is.

Boondocks will be missed. Bars open and bars close. Boondocks seemed to be busy at times and not at others. Had to be mismanaged or run on a shoestring budget. The owner should have taken on a partner with some cash so a consultant could fix the problems. If the problem was too high of rent, then the place should have never opened if the proper research was conducted. RIP Boondocks

It figures that another decent bar/restaurant closes while the unsafe, crime producing and back-alley drug dealing bars stay open in corona. Well I'll be spending my money in Norco now

No kidding shmuck! Not talking about the "reality show," which everyone knows is scripted and BS. But professional managers and marketing pros do exist; consultants do exist; and either could have helped quite a bit (instead of friends and want-a-bees). Big difference going from a mom/pop dive bar that didn't take too much hands on (where the property was owned by the previous bar owner) to an expensive commercial prop. business. Woody did great for what it is worth. I hope he relaxes and gets healthy. And for you dipshjt, chill out wino
