I would like to see the community of Esto grow into something great but I got a feeling it will never be anything more than what it is and I want to know why the county dropped the ball when it came to this town why not help the smaller communitys to grow so people can be more proud of where they came from somebody needs to get off their butts and do something for the ones that are growing up there now and the ones that cant afford to move anywhere better for their kids .....I think it would be wonderful if the state made some of these that dont mind drawing welfare (that can work and choose not to) work cleaning up the community and abandoned places in the town so it doesnt look so bad when people drive thru the town .....What are the politicans gonna do for these small communitys besides keep overlooking them

hey you wont get no arguments from me on that but its not just cleaning up there needs to be more buisness's brought into that town atleast bring something in for the youth to do to stay out of trouble ppl complain about kids getting in to trouble but they dont ever give them no alternative no outlet there is no activitys offered to keep them busy and out of trouble

They have plenty of churches that have activities for the youth. The problem is the lazy parents who don't want to instill good values into their children around there. They need to get off their butts and play outside with the kids, or take them somewhere and do something with them!! The creek is right up with road and that doesn't cost them any money. There is plenty to do, they're just to lazy to do it!

Hey brady saw your comment answer to your question will esto ever be anymore than a one horse town! Some people in esto think that you are the reason esto will never be more than a one horse town.

any small town that is that close to the alabama state line with florida, will Never grow. people who live in this area dont like to be messed with and usually dont mess with anyone themselves. they tend to be big drug users though. METH will always keep esto a one horse town.

So quick to say the people of esto are BIG DRUG USERS...... Now how would one know that? HMMMM ! Maybe you were involved in the DRUG USE. As for the Churches. Some choose not to instill Hippocritical Beliefs in their Children.

No actually I live right in the heart of Esto. As for a user no. Although I do know some prescription drug users that are always trying to sell there scripts. HA! You see just cause they are prescribed doesn't mean a thing anymore. It really bites my tell to cause most of these people are using public assistance benefits that cover these scripts. Now that is really disturbing to taxpayers such as myself. And drug use is everywhere in Holmes County and actually through out the nation. It doesn't matter if it is prescribed or not. It is all drug use both legal and non legal.

Okay maybe I was a little harsh, but gosh, why does one have to be so down on Esto. There are so many nice people here and alot of elders also.

ESTO HAS JUST RECEIVED A $600,000 GRANT TO UPGRADE SOME OF THE HOUSES IN ESTO, ALSO HAS JUST FINISHED HAVING AND ENGINEERING FIRM STUDY OUR WATER SYSTEM TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS, ALSO HAVE NEW SIDEWALKS FROM ONE END OF TOWN TO THE OTHER ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET. SOMEBODY MUST HAVE BEEN DOING SOMETHING LATELY, WHAT WE NEED IS ALL THE PEOPLE IN ESTO GOING TO THE TOWN HALL MEETINGS TO EXPRESS THERE FEELINGS AND HELP GET SOME THINGS DONE

Well we have too many churches in esto. Way too many. But yeah holmes county never allows any growth. So there probably won't ever be any new businesses coming in. They think that it will destroy all the old businesses in downtown bonifay. But in reality, those businesses are going out all on their own. I can't wait to see the day when we get something like a Publix or something in here. It would really help out you know. Oh and a cell phone tower couldn't hurt.

I have been a visitor to Esto ever since I was a small child. It hasnt changed. I remember my grandma going to a place that isnt there anymore, may of been a store, or post office, but its gone.I enjoy coming down there twice a year. Hope it stays small.

I grew up in Esto and remember how good "ALL" of the people were. In the mid 80's I moved back to Esto and had to leave after being robbed 4 times. Drugs and thieves were everywhere and all the good people were mostly gone. I would love to live there but not until the crime is erradicated.
