I live in a neighborhood where many houses are being taken back by the bank. In addition, as far as I know, no one has been able to sell a house in my area since the housing-failure started several years ago. When I got my tax statement this year, I noticed that all taxing entities when down in what they wanted me to pay, but not NISD. Should not the School Board consider the fact that we are in a depression here in Nocona? How many more computers do they need to buy to make students literate in technology? If I could sell my house, I would move out of this School District. I believe NISD is wasting taxpayer's money. The District needs experienced teachers to help students; however, it seems that the trend is to hire inexperienced, but cheaper Teachers, so that it can buy more Mac hardware, software and infrastructure. Have test scores gone up as a result of the Mac computer saturation? If not, then perhaps our Board and Administrators should give tax payers relief. Maybe the Admins are heading us into taxpayer poverty. The drain on my budget is arduous, and I cannot afford to pay my school taxes. I wish that I could sell my house and leave here!

Do you care to explain yourself? What do you have against these people especially the superintendent?

I agree Agent Orange. I wish you would sell your house and move too. Then we would both be happy!

I hope that you are a private citizen because I can accept the personal attack on my views concerning over-taxation. However, if you are a public employee or a member of one of our Board of Directors for any local tax supported institution, then you are way out-of-bounds in criticizing me for exercising my constitution right of free speech. Remember, if taxpayers leave the community, then there will be not funds to keep public institutions open. When I pay my taxes I expect public entities to be frugal. I also support Teachers, especially experienced Teachers.

You might be assuming incorrectly. I did not take sides. I merely asked for more explanation from you as I wanted to know why you felt as you did in your comment. Instead, I got nothing from you by way of explanation in regard to your feelings. It would be only fair to explain yourself if you are going to take jabs at people.

Would you care to explain yourself. At least Agent Orange explained why she felt as she does. I personally see nothing wrong with an individual being concerned with revenue expenditures considering that each tax payer is responsible for the accumulation of those revenues. If our tax dollars are well spent, then, we all benefit; however, if our money is wasted, our taxes go up again to make up for the shortfall in addition to no gains for anyone in terms of goods and services.

If you want to comment, at least be constructive as opposed to just trying to sound cute.

I didn't attack you or your views. I'm not sure I even know you. I merely agreed with you. YOU said you wish you could leave here - I am agreeing with you - I wish you would leave too. If it makes you feel any better, I will now exercise MY constitutional right to voice MY opinion. I don't ever remember reading one positive, constructive, uplifting comment from you. So, if you are so unhappy, then move. And then, we will both be happy, happy, happy!!!

You are not telling the truth about my comments. Some were negative and some were positive. All my comments about Teachers were positive. Do not say different. Since you have probably changed your name on this board, we don't know if you have made any positive or negative comments. Keep on hiding behind new names. You are right about one thing: you do not know me! Back-off man! Are you a Board member or a public employee?

I am confused. If you are looking for "positive, constructive, uplifting" comments, I would think that your comments would also reflect the same virtues; however, they do not appear helpful to me. I am all for constitutional rights, but I don't see the value in "the pot calling the kettle black".

I was just surprised I thought folks in the community could see what was happening with our school with the leadership we have had in the last few years. Some board members being what some would say bought by superintendent. Money being spent not in a responsible way, paying others to do the work the maintenance and janitor staff should be responsible for. Superintendent given herself a raise. These are just a few of the things going on.

There's a topic on here about a Board vacancy. It says the Board is taking applications. Looks like we will be getting someone new on the Board. Since you think we need some new people, maybe you should apply.

I love Nocona. I've lived here my whole life. I graduated from Nocona. My kids attend school here, and I plan on them graduating from Nocona. I love our school. I love the direction our school is going with technology (my kids really love it). I love what's going on downtown. I wish I was in a position to help change some of our buildings. I love our lake - would love it more if it were full. I love our eating establishments. I love our kids. I love our City Leaders. I'm Happy, Happy, Happy!!!

How's that for poitive and uplifting???

You obviously have not read my comments about Teachers. I always support good Teachers. You are a liar. Keep spouting the same old shite about anyone who questions the board and admins about bad decisions. I am sure a lot of people will believe it.

Then you said...blah,blah,blah...All my comments about teachers were positive...blah,blah,blah.

How dare you make fun of my post by changing the words to "blah, blah, blah." Keep it coming, and I will respond to your crapp!

Agent, I'm hurt. Since I directly quoted what you said about teachers, I'm not sure how that's lying. Heck, I didn't even say whether I agreed or disagreed with you. I merely pointed out that you are a negative complainer. I will not allow your negativity to bring me down. I'm Happy, Happy, Happy!!! On that note, I'm hittin the hay to get ready for a good day at work. I will read your venom tomorrow.

Talk about "venom," you are the most venomous poster that I have heard on this board. I hope you sleep good after spewing all your BS. Good night and say you prayers. I will be back when you wake up tomorrow. I am curious to see what lies that you come up with when you wake up.
