15 retailers make plans to open at Noblesville's Simon mall

The city has named 15 retailers that will be tenants at Hamilton Town Center, Simon Property Group's 950,000-square-foot mall near I-69 Exit 10.

Actually the later rounds won't get much better. I don't believe I ever heard a Nobletuckian say it was better than Clay Terrace.

With a lineup of JCPenney, Dick's, DSW, Marshall's, Circuit City it's definately not going to be upscale. It's going to be middle of the road/apple pie america type of retail.

Now SAXONY on the other hand is catering to a much higher demographic with more upscale restaurants, boutique shops, retailers, etc. That's where the Fishers and Geist "Soccer Mom's" will spend their time.

will there be any used car lots out there? I really think we could use a dollar general store or a Sams club.
It would be nice to have a outlet mall next to it also. I'm afraid that the stores out there will be to expensive.

I just hope that with all the discount stores that are coming there will be a wall-mart or sam's club near there. It sounds like an archetectural dream and nice to look at, but I hope the prices are cheap. What we really need are some goodwill stores out there. We need more cheap discount stores. After all with all the foreclosures and all.

Funny..the same thing happens in Avon and Brownsburg. I am a realtor and the wealth factor seems to be confined to Carmel. I just put on a presentation to a major corporation moving to Indianapolis and all the wives heard about was Clay Terrace and Keystone at the Crossing. I guess Avon, Brownsburg, Plainfield and Noblesville will be sentence to a life of finding Dockers.

Super-Wal Mart is moving to the NE corner of 146th St. and SR 37. A Goodwill store is going to 131st St. and SR 37. There will not be a Wal-Mart or Dollar General store at this exit. Predominately middle of the road retail north of I-69, and more upscale retail on the south side of I-69 in Fishers/Saxony. And what does all of the foreclosures have to do with anything? It's a small percentage compared to the houses that were not forclosed!!

Once again as I mentioned previously all of the "upscale" restaurants and retail shops will be on the Fishers side in Saxony, just up the road from Geist Resevoir. There I said it again.

The north side of I-69 in Noblesville will be mostly Apple Pie America type restaurants, commonly referred to as "Intersate Retail". Most of the north side in Saxony is Industrial, Office, and Distribution anyway. The growth and affluence is south of I-69 in Fishers. SAXONY will have much better restaurants (new concepts to Indiana) and much better more "boutique" retail.

What's disappointing is the same stores going in at all of these retail outlet malls. It's the same shopping and the same restaurants. They are going up only a few miles away from ones that are already there. What would be nice is to have an Outlet mall with actual discount prices, not ones that claim to have discount prices but actually do. Have stores in a mall that you don't actually find around here. (IE Frys). That was a big electronics place at least in the south west that I know of. It's here now. How about trying to bring other places like that here. That goes for restaurants as well. I don't know any off of the top of my head other than Jack in the Box but I'm sure there are others. Preferably ones that don't sell just hamburgers.

I, too, have heard that the Saxony side is supposed to have more upscale retailers.

Sounds like some want upscale stores and others are looking for discount stores. Not to sure why Saxony can't have both? The mere fact that a lot of these stores are going to be easy to simply jump off I-69 is going to be a major plus. These stores have not even been built yet so how can people say that nobody is talking about them, its need time.
Personally I like how they have planned this and its a win win for Noblesville, Fishers and surrounding areas.

That name arose from those in Indy when Noblesville seemed to be 'really out in the country'. Fishers was just farmland, with less than 100 houses.

Not sure when it became a 'slur' by those you call Rednecks in Indy.

Noblesville has great historical value. You don't see the historical homes such, as on Connor Street, in very many Indiana cities.

From what I understand, Connor Prairie was part of Noblesville way back then.
