It is my opinion that a social worker should not be judgmental and if they suspect actual abuse of a program, child, drugs, whatever, they should go through the proper channels to have it investigated....not go onto a public forum on Facebook to insinuate and make broad, prejudiced, stereotypical judgments.

It isn't very professional if they are doing that.

I read where a judge just threw it to one parent for non payment of child support when a photo of the man laying in a handful of cash and others of him with numerous bottles of liquor were posted on his facebook account.

Good!People like to sit around and bash the poor, single moms. In reality, they should be taking a cold hard look at the deadbeat daddy who goes around impregnating woman after woman, and abandoning mom and baby after it loses the appeal. These kind of guys are a dime a dozen, though. I can't figure out why the absent parents never have to go into a work program like the custodial parents do, when they need help. MO really needs to quit dealing with deadbeats with kid gloves and quit attacking the parents who bother to raise the kids even if on welfare. People want to say they are pro-life, well, they should start acting like it then!

Like Ive said before ... If employers reported all pay outs it would eliminate a lot of this under the table non accountable income and assist the state and various programs by preventing those who are playing the system from drawing benefits they arent entitled to.

What I meant, is that if this state actually help both parents equally accountable for their kids, instead of just the custodial, there might not be so many children in poverty on the dole. The state of MO is way too lax. I know several men who get behind, the court dates keep getting postponed and the warrant and bond lifted. They party, yet cannot pay the $130 per month to the two kids....which is a ridiculously low amount. It is very unfair. MO should have a work program that forces non-paying, supposedly non-working deadbeats into, just like they impose on single, working parents on the dole.....mostly who are the mothers of the kids.

Facebook isn't ever private, and law enforcement/DFS has every right to investigate possible infractions posted on the Internet.

This was no investigation. This was a hospice worker talking crap. The comments have been recorded and emailed to the administrator of the facility. People should take note, especially people deemed as professionals, that their words can and may come back to haunt them. Many people may not feel comfortable with such an assuming worker involved with them or their loved ones.
