I would guess all three are fibbing about the events in question.

I agree with Cyberist - the truth probably falls somewhere in between what everyone said. It must be a slow news day for Mr. Kass.

Why did that old biddy care if he parked on the double yellow lines - it wasn't any of her business. Shame on Mrs. LaBue

And I doubt that there were no other handicapped spaces available in an entire Costco lot. Shame on Abe.

They were all hotheads but it seems that Mrs. LaBue was the instigator. It's unbelievable that arrests and courtdates were made. Shame on all of them.

The purpose of a handicapped spot (with yellow lines in the spot next to it) is so a handicapped person will have enough room to get out of their car, so yes, it was her business. But why was she in that spot to begin with, if her husband who was WALKING had enough strength to push the other old guy? and Korach probably thought and said what has he got to lose, he's dying anyway. goofy.

Great story. I just hope that when I am 80+ I can brag that I got arrested for fist fighting in a parking lot.

...The other fellow could hardly walk, since he'd just underwent hip surgery...

Shouldn't that be "undergone?" Someone should be fired. This is the great Trib afterall.

Leave John alone. Everyone's entitled to a little Ebonic once in a while.

Leave it to two old Sparky's to get into it in their golden years. Do they belong to Local # 134's retiree club?

You've seen what the older ones are like, try working with 60 younger ones like I do. Some are as stubborn as the day is long.

Brothers, enjoy your retirement and play nice with the other kids.

According to American Heritage Dictionary and Websters underwent is the past tense of Undergo, and may be used interchangeably with undergone.

It doesn't necessarily roll as easily as undergone would have, but it's still grammatically okay.

Now get off John's back and laugh about the geezer fight. Laugh Damn you, laugh!

At least this is not as bad as what happens when a couple of young people get into a senseless argument. Twice within a few days, a couple of young guys short on brains opened fire on each other on the South Side. One of those incidents cost Starkesia Reed her life, and the other cost Siretha White hers. Both victims were innocent girls who were minding their own business and were hit by stray bullets.
At least Mssrs. Korach and Labue didn't pull guns on each other.

Niles is filled with tough old geezers. They moved there during the baby boom, raised there big families, then the kids moved out and left the geezers in their ranch houses. When I was growing up there, you always played outside. There were so many kids and the parents wouldn't let them bring other kids inside, even in the winter time. But the geezers keep up their homes, cut the grass, go to church, go to the senior center and walk at Golf Mill. There's nothing fancy in Niles, just a bunch of geezers and some new people that don't always speak English very well buying some of the ranch houses that come up for sale when a geezer dies. The geezers see that and mutter about the way things used to be, but they're polite enough to wave to the new folks when they see them outside.

Excellent point that she didn't have to be taking up the space in the first place. Let me add on by saying that she wasn't going to be getting out of her car to shop, since hubs was already shopping, so I come back to the point that she didn't have to initiate the fight about Abe being parked on the lines.
