Please note that this Jewish community does more than donate to Israel. By keeping Jewish Federation funded they support
Mt. Sinai hospital, on the Vest Side, a hospital that was very good and used Jewish Doctors when they couldn't get residencies in the "other" hospitals. Although Jewish doctors now can get internships, residencies and even into fine schools, it still supports the neighborhood, the poor, and those who need help.
