Romano's in Des Plaines closing after 60 yrs
On Monday morning, Romano's Italian Restaurant will ship 150 frozen pizzas to fans around the country craving a last taste from the Des Plaines icon.

It's a sad day for all of us who have been loyal customers of Romano's restaurant. There has never been a thin crust pizza that can compare with Romano's. We hope they can either re-open or find another location soon!

How can they close down a Des Plaines Icon ? Please reopen as soon as possible !!!! Get the mortgage refinanced like everyone else. I need that great tasting pizza.

I asked for an esspresso, and got strong instant coffee. Did romano's think we are stupid? Good riddance.
