"He without sin cast the first stone." I heard about Lenny as I grew up when I was a kid and met him afterwards at the Windy City Gym and other boxing gyms afterwards. He was always incredibly kind to me and was always willing to share his knowledge. I have nothing but kind words and respect for Lenny LaPaglia. A great middleweight and the toughest guy I ever met!

Watched several of his fights at Divinchi manor. North ave and central back in the day. He was a better brawler than boxer and a damn good bar fighter. Back in the bar scene Bobby lee, John Grey, Randy Peppers, Bob Gerald, john Bowser, Tommy Mock, were tough as nails.

I grew up with Lenny and even though I have not seen or talked to Lenny in years I was proud of him ! My brother Pat and Lenny were best friends as kids until we moved .When Pat got sick with cancer he was back in Chicago and saw Lenny it's all he talked about for a month ! R.I.P. Lenny and say hi to Pat for me.

I grew up with Lenny and watched him fight at the local park. He'd give you the shirt of his back and treated everyone with respect. I can tell you numerous stories that invovled him and how honorable he was.

You obviously didn't know that Lenny. Maybe he saw you for what you are and treated you as such... a simple piece of garbage.

Everyone fights some kind of demon in their life, some stronger then others. For Lenny, he no longer has to fight and can now rest in peace. I will count him as another one of the old neighborhood angels and hope he and Joe Adefio can share some laughs!

My deepest sympathy to the entire LaPaglia Family, he will be missed but NEVER forgotten.

Can still see Lenny walking on 22nd near my old house in Melrose with a "gop" hat and "dego t" as we called them. A hug every time. I knew him as one of the boys in the neighborhood with a good heart. Colorful crazy crew they all were, like you see in the movies sometimes. His family shouldn't have to see painful comments here especially at this time. Nobody is perfect and he's gone now so give 'em a break. The fight's over, rest in peace Lenny.

Roaming the neighborhood in gangster hat and wife beater shirt with his gang.....really paints a great picture of LaPaglia and Melrose Park!

What is this Lords of Flatbush?

If the man did some great things with his life ...then lets talk about it!Showing up to a funeral hardly qualifies as great in my book. Just my opinion.

Did he mentor troubled at risk youth boxers? Contribute his prize winnings to charity? A great husband and father? What did he give back?

Those are the stories I want to hear.

Why are you shouting at us when you are telling us NOT to judge?

Can you read? When you shouted at us....you were warned that people cannot read your message and yet you still posted it?
