Liffey's "bird's-eye view of the Cathedral of St. Paul and State Capitol"? Really? I don't think that means what you think it means.:-)

If you actually want to sit and enjoy the patio/lake on Lake Mtka, you're much better off going to Maynard's or the Bayview next door; Fletcher's tends to be a more noisy, overcrowded, meat market type atmosphere.

The patio at The Black Forest should be listed as well. It's very nice.

Billy's on Grand is by far one of the best patios in town. How could they not include them?

So the wife and I are heading into the heart of the 612 for a night of debauchery, staying at the Hotel Minneapolis Saturday night. Three part question, and YES I am serious:
best downtown happy hour bar? Best restaurant? and best place to meet curious women?(moved here from out of state, not familiar with the city much, live in a more rural area).
Thanks in advance.

What kind of "curious" women? Like the kind who want to know how the internal combustion engine works?

Go to the personals page of the City Pages. All kinds of sick people getting diseases from that thing.

Alery's is the best kept secreat on great patio, biggest large screen tv for the games. MY vote goes to Alerys on 7th and Jackson.

love how the pp almost slaps it's own readers in the face...frost it seems barely makes the list yet readers vote it 1st. and agree there must be something going on in wbl as the lower reader ratings are high on the "pro" list. javier, maybe the birds have something against you? never had the problem you speak of while dining on any patio.

Great spot but their food is overrated and over priced. So if you're judging on the patio alone, I agree it's nice. If it's a combo patio/food. No thanks, it's an o.k. spot for a cocktail but that's about it.

Dig the Happy Gnome even when it was Chang O'Hara's. Great back patio...wide selection of beers...and surprising menu.
