We care so much about our animals, we put chips in them to locate them when lost or stolen. Think of the countless children, mentally unstable or senile adults that are lost or stolen that could be saved everyday.

Great story. As far as children and people being chipped - it is a wonderful idea, but it is also scary when you think about how much control the government could gain by doing that...

This story made headline news??? Pioneer Press gets weeker by the day. There are so many more important headlines out there. Great ending and all, but who really cares about a 60 mile cat?

The owners.

Anyway, stories like this, while not technically "news", serve another purpose.

All we read about every day is Bombs here, dead there, repubs hate these, dems criticize that.....

This is whats known as a human interest story. it's sole purpose is to show that, while the world is full of awful news, every now and then, something good can happen.

If you object to the PP showing a silver lining on the grey cloud known as life, well, the headline should have told you to avoid this article.
