I can name about 5 women that I know who were diagnosed with breast cancer either in their 30's or 40's. Truthfully I'd rather have the anxiety of a false positive and then KNOW there is no problem then get a positive a year late and have to go through even more invasive strategies.

But it's early.

This is the first of health care rationing disguised as a 'guideline'.
Soon there'll be an advisory guideline about treating 60 yr old traffic accident victims, and the cost of health care won't be so high.

Even if they don't officially change the guidelines, this will definitely open the door for the insurance industry to stop paying for mammograms for women in their 40's. There are many other things that could be limited that would make more sense than this. A 30% drop in breast cancer deaths since 1990 means a lot less money made on chemo and radiation treatments. Is that really behind this. I would hope not.

The quicker they can kill off Social Security recipients, the faster the problem of NO Social Security money will go away. They spent the money that we all paid into the system, and now they can't possibly pay out in the next 20 years to the retirees.
And now, bravo...limit life spans, what a deal from the liberals.
The whole reason behind Government Health Care, CONTROL, what a freaking farce. When will the population of this country wake-up? If the government really cared about the uninsured, the simple answer is to put the few uninsured on medicare or medicaid...a real simple concept! Oh hell no, they got a bigger plan, the big "kill-off"

Doctor faces being struck off after woman, 26, dies of cancer 'he failed to spot EIGHT times'

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12214...

A doctor who failed to spot the symptoms of cervical cancer in a young woman eight times in four years faces being struck off.

Dr Navin Shankar told Nikki Sams her health problems were 'nothing serious', never performed an internal examination and ignored her pleas for a hospital check-up.

The blunders only emerged when she was transferred to another surgery after Dr Shankar was suspended in a separate case of serious misconduct.

Her new doctor immediately ordered a smear test which showed the advertising saleswoman had abnormal cells and more tests found she had a tumour.

Miss Sams had a hysterectomy and months of treatment but died a year later aged 26 after the cancer spread to her lungs, spine and neck.

They might as well just line all the woman up and shoot them all.

They are giving woman a death sentence. As a person who works in health care billing area I know that it wont be long until the insurance companies start denying for mammograms for women under the age of 50.

You've got that right on the money. I have countless objections to a government-controlled health care program, but the number one suspicion about this Obama administration is that they want health care dollars. Government is spending our money silly for so long, the huge taxes paid to them are no longer enough. They stole social security blind, now they want more. Here's an article written by Dr. Elizabeth Vliet who is dedicated to women's health. The article "should", but probably "won't" open the eyes of the idiots who think they're going to get free hand-outs from us - the taxpayers.

What is interesting is the Topix fervent supporters of Obama's Gov't health care take over are being very quiet about this. I can think of one Topix -lib -dem -lover of everything Obama- especially gov't health care- who hasn't said a word about the recent mammogram issue. I'm sure SHE will be around posting links trying to support her slanted view very soon.
