Parks and Rec ruined girls softball on the hill.

I can tell you that it is being ran better than it has over the past 6-7 years. There will always be those that had a bad experience 20 years ago that can't seem to let it go. And for the comment of "better off if parks & Rex took it over like softball.". That's laughable.

Also, registration ends on Friday, February 24th. You can go to JCYB.org and sign up online. Player assessments are Saturday, February 25th at Champions. I know you and your child will not be sorry.

No. Wee-ball and Tee-ball players do not have to attend assessments. Only exception is if your son is 6 and you would like him to try out for the Rookie division, which is primarily 7 & 8 year olds. If that is the case, he would need to be at assessments at 8:30 am Saturday morning.

Informed,

I have had children in the league for the last 11 years. I feel like JCYB has improved a lot over the last 4 or 5 years. I'm curious what you thought was so bad that you would say "better than it has over the past 6-7 years". Aren't most of the people in charge the same people that have been for a few years now?

The past few years at JCYB have been great for my family, I'm just curious where you are coming from.

I apologize. It must have come across wrong. I meant over the past 6 years it has gotten much better than before that. I know the people that took over 4-5 years ago really cared for the kids and were (and still are) trying to make it a great league.

Moe Dugger is an Ahole. He bribes his way to the best kids and always gets his way. Tball is too competitive. It is suppose to be fun for the kids. I am taking my boy elsewhere.

Preach it Jimmy Q! He get's a different "assistant coach" each year, and somehow they always have a good ballplayer for a son, and were on a different team the year before. Sad that he wants to winn tball that much, so he takes the one good player another team may have left for his own.

He got his as s handed to him 2 nights ago. This year his rookies suck. He treats kids bad too. He basically is sorry and wants everything handed to him. He will never call u back and acts as though he never heard from you.

i heard the same thing. He really chewed his team out the other night after they lost, sad to say he is one of the "leaders" of this league too.

As I have a son on the team I was there After the game and heard everything that was said to the players. The team was not chewed out. Instead moe said something good to each player about something that they did in the game. They only have two brand new players this year so how bad can they suck. The dodgers are just a good team with a lot of returning players who ca play ball. Since you know so much about our 'sucky' team where were you for the first game when we won. Every team has a bad game and they have only been practicing for a few weeks. It seems as if the only people who complain are the ones who ruin it for everyone else. These are only 7 & 8 year olds people. I'd hate to see how you treat your kids for losing 1 game. It's supposed to be fun and as for me and my family we will be having fun every game cheering on our son as he tries his best every game.

And where were you after the game or is this all just hearsay. Because my son is on the team. The coach never yelled at anyone instead praising every kid on something good they did during the game. And they did not get their ass handed to them. The dodgers are just a darn good ball team with a lot of returning players who can play ball. We hung with them until the last 2 innings. Let's see how well your team does against them too. We came in third last year an have only lost 2 players. So apparently we can't suck as bad as you think. Did you see our first tournament game? Our 7&8 year olds did awesome against the braves and advanced to the next round. They are kids and can have an off day like everyone else. Let them enjoy playing the game as long as they can before they start be becoming as pessimistic as the people on this site. Our job as parents is to encourage our children to do the best they can. My son will never hear me put him, his team, or other teams down ever because at the end of the day they are still little kids!!!

I have no son/daughter on Moe'steam this year so only can talk about previous experiences. My daughter was on the Rangers T-ball last year so I watched every game and believe me they were major overachievers. Having also my son in T-ball I have watched T-ball teams throughout the years and when I watched their first practice last year I thought they were a .500 ball club at best. At the beginning of the year there were 5-6 kids on that team that could barely even hit the ball from a 'T' (my daughter included) and probably only 2-3 could even hit it out of the infield. In addition not one kid could throw the ball from 3rd to first on the fly. Why did they win...a combination of great kids wanting to learn, good coaching, and parents that didn't think their son was the next coming of A-Rod. I think the reason Moe is successful is that he gets the most out of his players and teaches them fundamentals. For instance my daughter has no power at all (she is tiny but can run fast), so Moe taught her to punch it down third every time within about 2-3 ft of the line on third and she got on about 70-80% of the time.

Was a great weekend of baseball. Great weather (well a little windy)....so all quit your complaining and bitching and just let the kids play ball.
