i have also heard if u dont play for the bobcats you dont get a chance with west. everybody knows u cant play for the bobcats unless u have money.

One of the real problems with WJHS is the fees for the band members. The sports programs may be supported but the band members have to find their own sponsors. Some of these kids are REALLY good but their parents still have to dish out payment after payment for uniforms, instruments, band camp, fundraising dinners etc.. Why not help those who NEED help?

the band fees cant be any more than the baseball team pays. now they are raising money to build a new middle school baseball field. this is crazy. who is going to pay for it? the parents of the players. players who will not play their. jody if you want to raise money, go to the boosters who have been padding your pockets all these years and get it from them. we dont want to be forced to sell stupid cards.

You have GOT to be kidding me....first of all our booster program is one of the best in the state!!! Baseball parents raised all the money for the hitting facility at WEST and a LOT of blood sweat and tears have gone into that field!!! Yes we are raising money for a PRACTICE field at the middle school...the school board will not pay for that!!! We have one of the BEST programs in the area and our booster program is COMPLETELY legit!!!!! Unlike many n the Lexington area.......there is NO padding of pockets going on around here.
As for Jody Hamilton....most of you just sound jealous...he is one of the best coaches in the State!!!! And has proven that time and time again.
You need to get over being jealous and deal with it....sorry if your kid didn't MAKE the team this is not tball or little league anymore...either your kid has talent or he doesn't ...you can't buy that!!!
As for the comment about the Bobcats....think again...these kids are awesome at what they do...their parents are NOT rich...just work hard to give their kids the very best!!!
Get over yourself....some kids don't want to play for Hamilton...well those must be the kids that didn't make the team.....or I guess that is why there are almost 40 kids on the middle school team...bcuz they all hate him........whatever...haters move on..think of something else to spend your time on!!!!

First of all 'think again' the boosters do control their own funds, They have a treasurer for that with a completely PUBLIC listing of all expenses and income. So YOU might want to get YOUR story and facts straight.
Second of all 'todamnyoung' players are cut for a reason...bad attitude, lack of skills, too much muscle could mean fat and slow in a nice way'
Also I have never PAID my kids way on to ANY team ...why....because they have TALENT...you cant buy talent, and you sure cant pay their way on to a team ....give me a break oh jealous heart...get a life and get a clue. Damn straight i have been a booster member...all parents are booster members, we work our butts off to raise money for our program...maybe all the haters should get up off their butts and do the same for their program and quit WHINING about not having anything.....

And to 'someday'...have already had a son go thru the program as well so I do know what I am talking about .... and if your son had gone thru the program, then you would know that all financial records are made public to anyone that requests it.
