Just tried to return a one year old battery with a 3 year replacement warranty. First the quick test said it was good so I made them run the long test and it had a bad cell so then they told me the warranty was void because that battery don't go on a jeep, this was a 900cca 12volt battery it should have been fine.

Sounds to me like you got out smarted by a walmart employee, lol. You should have never told them what it was in, that's none of their business. Call the manager and the BBB, other than that take it as a lesson to keep your lips zipped, NEVER volunteer ANY information.

Maybe that is why they don't have self checkout now because of people like that, again, it makes it hard on everybody because a few ripped them off. I agree they should have stood behind the battery, but that is no reason to steal from them or anyone else. If you'll do that, it's makes you no better than them. Don't play that game, it will just come back on you later. Suck it up, we've all had to, and just watch what you say the next time you return something to them. LESS INFORMATION IS BETTER, DON'T VOLUNTEER ANY INFORMATION UNLESS ASKED! Good luck next time.

Same to me...

Brought my battery in with a recipt dated 1 year 3 months ago... Battery says right on the front.. "2 Year Free Replacement"

Their computer kept printing a page saying the warranty expires on:(blank)
showed the day I purchased it..
But did not allow them to even exchange it... PLUS they wanted to charge me Sales tax on the replacement as if i had bought it again...

Manager said it should be warrantied (agreed with me) but because the machine offered her no override button she would not do it. Never shopping there again.

I have an "Everstart" (more like neverstart) 65S for my Bronco. They DID replace it under warranty, but took me two months of bitching. When they finally did, it was a woman manager who was stressed and I gave no quarter, took no guff. I am a former Marine who still looks it, and I carry a big .45 on my hip openly (it's legal here), and I come off very intimidating when I'm pissed. HOwever, as of today, t's bad AGAIN. Dunno if they'll replace it again, but I will NEVER, REPEAT,*NEVER* buy a battery from Mal-Wart again, as long as I live. Oh, the first time, i aso finaly took it to parts dealer I know and trust, had them bench test it and print the results (clearly stating it failed the entire load test), which prolly helped.

Hmm, just noticed noticed this page is location-specific...I live in AZ. However, Mal-Wart is the same everywhere.

I have not tried to return my battery yet, but I know it has a bad cell. My car is all stock and a fairly new suburban at that. So hush "yourstupid". I have tons of Nascar relatives and they all laughed at me when I bought it. Walmart was the only thing open so I had to. Well here I am a year later and a very heavy paper weight. I hope they honor the warranty. It has a 3y one. I never shop at the store otherwise. I would rather buy from the back of a trunk than go to these guys. Horrible quality on most everything. They make money off of convenience. My OEM battery last 6 years and my walmart battery last 1 year. What quality!

Iv had 4 or 5 walmart batterys they work great.- try to exchange them before the warrenty is up. Always lost my proof of purchace and they never gave me any crap. Trick is to go at night becuade there is no one there in the automotive section. Don't give them any additude and u should be fine.

Sorry to hear about them not takin your battery back but in there eyes the battery wasn't made for that vechile so it might of put some extra wear on the battery

As far as the scumbag who says print the upc code and scan it to get your money back you low lifes are the reason they give people a hard time about refunds look at all the money they loose

I am waiting for wal-mart to call me and let me know if they are going to honor the 3 year free replacement on a Battery I purchased 6 mos ago. The Register Receipt has gone blank, all the ink faded away and nothing can be seen on the receipt at all , completely blank. I kept it with a few other receipts in an envelope in the glove box of my truck. The battery keeps going dead if I do not use my truck every day.
