It always amazes me how willing people who have no clue what on earth they are talking about are so anxious to shout their ignorance from the tree tops.

Well when you constantly mix human feces with the lake your gonna get negative results!
I think people that say horrible things about this lake are a perfect example of "human feces".

Hey huh, they're asking the same question in the Gulf of Mexico area about getting their fish back. Thinkin' ours will return far sooner than theirs. Hubby and I just came back from a Lakeside Lunch. The Lake smells like it should in a full rain year.

Perhaps you should fish in an aquarium Mr. Emmert - Clear Lake is but a mere fish pond - it is a living, breathing being and as such is subject to many moods. Seems to be in a happy mood right now!

What are you talking about?? There have been so many sewer spills at the south end of this lake (the dam end!) it's ridiculous, and I know what I'm talking about! The lack of rain over the past 5 years has not flushed the lake like is normally does year after year. With the lake being so shallow especially in the south end, oxygen levels in the lake have fallen to low dangerous levels due to the excessive algae blooms (fed by the yummy feces floating around) during the summer months. This is what has caused the fish populations to severely decline in the lower basin of the lake. The real problem is this county is too dam poor (along with just about everybody else!) to do much about it....The rain from this past winter will help tremendously with flushing out contaminates and replacing oxygen, but how we gonna get the fish back?
So maybe you can site your scientific references. Or did you just think all this up with your big powerful brain.
Last year I talked to Dr. Lyons, you know the guy that has spent his hole life studying our lake, months before the lake started to smell. He said from time to time the algae that has grows every summer in the lake forms one extra oxygen molecule. The effect this has is late in the summer as the algae dies off it does not sink like it normally does. Instead it floats, causing the smell. This is a natural process that has taken place in this lake for hundreds of thousands of years. If you doubt this feel free to contact Dr. Lyons at Yuba college.
So you see, as I inferred before, you really are a piece of ignorant human feces that needs to shut it's mouth.

WHAT?

Dan and Mark did not catch anything?

I'd get your money back dudes. I went out years ago expecting for a huge Salmon day myself, how ever rock and link were on the agenda, and one salmon. It was a great day!

Probably not the bait, but the wrong captain.
