If Denise wanted to stop money from leaving the county she would help "plug" the influx of Illegal Immigrants into the county and the subsequent money we loose by paying their accommodations on hill road as well as all the indigent anchor baby support which are bankrupting our hospitals.
Hey what about the immigrants (squatters) that mostly occupy their homes by the form of a modular or trailer if you will, by the looks of your name, you're blood line reaks of immigration at one time in history. And have anchored at one time or another, now deeming yourself rightful.

Stop pointing fingers at things you have no clue about. Your focusing on the wrong issue. She (Denise) is encouraging hypocrites like you to get involved in the community instead of pointing fingers at everything that could be fixed in your narrow minded opinion. You are obviously satisfied with mediocrity. And an anchor baby is well, kind of what you are too if you really think about it.

Wow..........Denise Rushing for another four years? It doesn't get better than this! Nobody works harder or cares more for her constituency and County than Denise. This is the best news we've had in a long time.

Where does the buck stop? and what has she done about it? Has she said a word? No she allows the dishonest likes of Mitchell and Hopkins with no accountability. Just shove the money at them. Its only a personnel matter.

nobody at the BOS has shown more leadership, compassion, common sense and creativity than Denise, we ALL should be thrilled she's running again. She is doing this for US, not herself, as she could make four or five times as much money in the private sector, that's a heck of a lot to give-up. Anyone who thinks they could run against her is a fool, as only a tiny group of serious pinheads are unhappy with her, and that unhappiness is based on bigotry and jealousy. Four more years!

What has She done with her time so far?
Look at the condition of Lake County and then ask her WHY

The picture quality of her picture in print is horrible. I almost couldnt not tell who it was on the front page. Not sure if its a printing or photography issue, but i think we deserve a little better quality from our paper.

who got the quagga program going and back on track after it went astray? Who fixed the fire safe program single handed? Who got the plaza built in the Oaks, the Upper lake renovations done, the new general plan finished, the shoreline plan fine-tuned and finished? Who is the best problem-solver on the BOS? Who treats the public with courtesy and respect ALL the time? Who doesn't let their ego show/impact their votes? Who is the most intelligent/honest person on the BOS? Denise, that's who!

Philip: Tell me what I said that is not true. What has she said about all the mess within this government? Was she aware of the of the money cost with Binius case? I leave Mitchell out. So I would be a pinhead, bigot and jealous because I give a view that I would expect more than the status quo. I was one of her supporters last time and will be again. Thinking that Lewis could be there makes my skin crawl.

Personel matters must be handled in closed session so as not to violate the employee's rights, which could open the county to a huge lawsuit.

Being one member on a board doesn't give any one the power to do anything, it takes 3 votes.

If, in closed session, a motion to fire someone for good cause doesn't get the 3 votes, nothing gets made public, so it's not fair to hold Denise accountable for something she can't accomplish single handed. Phil Murphy is right on all counts. Denise takes her job seriously, is bright, well intentioned, has a good perspective in that she looks to the future, gets things done (like the solar arrays) and is a force for good.

That is like saying she is the smartest retard...Did ya smell the shoreline last summer? How many resorts lost ther collectve a##es last summer due to neglect of the alge problem? Do you see anything being done now when you can actually get a craft in the Keys? No You Don't...Summer is coming...Another bad year for resorts and tourisim is just what the Dr ordered...what little has been done does in no way negate the fact that the BOS is inept...Why is Brown on it? Cause he can grow a 100 acre pot farm? And wronfully accuse an illegal ...If he was not captured how then do we know it was an illegal? Sounds like a bunch of KRAP
Takes more than 1 person to tend 5000 plants...Guareneed
If I owned that acreage I would be fighting to prove my innocence in court...So why then is he not? GOB that is why

To all just more excuse. I'm only one of five. Just a way to be plausible.Personnel matters was not to protect the guilty but the innocent. She has the press ear and what did she or anyone say about the messes here? So all keep their mouth shut, that is all that would let the status que have the day.

You, like so many others, are confusing (intentionally?) immigrants with illegal aliens. One is a person who has moved here for a shot at a better life, a decent education, advanced medical or surgical procedures, or simply a change of scene; one is a criminal.
Everyone alive in America today can be traced back to "somewhere else" sooner or later. The issue at hand is whether an individual or his ancestors walked proudly through the front door - which, as I understand it, has a standing invitation - or sneaked in like thieves through a rear window.
As I have said before, I will go out of my way to share my food and my home with an invited guest. Thieves tend to get themselves shot.
As the Federal Government, for whatever reason, does not appear take the issue of National Security, Islamo-Fascist Terrorism, or Illigal Aliens seriously, it is both the right and the duyt of the American people to pick up the slack of the "leaders."
Before you accuse others, in your self-righteous tone, of pointing fingers, I wonder if you have considered where your people came from ... originally. I suggest you calm yourself, look up the term "anchor baby," unclench your fist, and have a toke from your peace pipe.
Ciao.
Do not smoke the peace pipe, and really do not see the difference in any person who has migrated, they have all come whether it be through the back door or the front. I do not feel that person should have the right to ostracize others and back it with legalities. There is legal ways to do things, but it does not always necessarily mean it is right.

Not feeling "self righteous", I am mainly annoyed with other "self righteous" individuals who (ancestors) were in the same predicament at one time in history, but forget. Not upset, and do obtain more than just native American blood, so in all actuality I am a "migrant" too.

It bothers me when others forget what their people were at one time and feel they can speak on others with contempt. To then to push the blame on a supervisor who has done nothing but try to help her district, bothers me a little more.

I do know what the term anchor baby means, and was not skewed by the comment. The principal is what frustrates me.

Is just one vote, maybe you should run against her, or if you are in another district run to assist her. I am sure something could be done then, I seriously encourage you to do so. You sound like you want whats right for the county, and I could not agree more. There is a faction more dishonest than any running a tribe locally, but that is not necessarily her fault. She is encouraging to contribute, and so am I.

Well put Mr. Grant, but I do not think the people you are explaining this to will get it. They are people who need instant gratification. Unfortunately that is what we deal with in politics the 80/20 rule. Hopefully during this next tenure things can work out and the patience and hard work will pay off, to bring a better environment for Lake County. Here's to Denise !

Oh we get it...So she got a program that was already in place going again...Big deal ...Why did it get ignored in the first place?...I have dealt with Denise personally and She is not willing to rock the boat...You need a person with the guts to take a stand!...Has she? Will she?....NO!...The board is no better than LSCO...They are in bed together and it is very evident....Why has this problen not been addressed previously?...Do you all think it happened last week? COME ON..WAKE UP..She has been on the Board for what ? 4 yrs now?...Has she ever taken a stand against the powers that be? Please enlighten me..How about Brown calling all Ihss workers drug addicts and low life..What was her response?...Funny that 5000 pot plants were found on his property...NO ARRESTS...LOL....Claimed they saw an illegal running...Funny they claim an illegel...How is that tollerated? Did they catch this illegal? No...So how then do they know it was an illegal?...was he hired by Brown to tend the crop? That is the only way they would know that he was an illegal...Do illegals usually tend 5000 plants alone? That is almost funny...100 acres...5000 plants..Why did Garzoli not find it while training on your dime? That is a pretty large crop to not notice...If LSCO are not going to do their job cause it again is one of their own...I think the people deserve answers...after all we pay his wage for being on the BOS...If LSCO found 5000 plants on your property would you get arrested?..Okay longshot ...He did not know..LOL...Anyone else would have to go through the process of proving it..Why not him?...GOB...THAT'S WHY...History is the tell tale...Look back and if you then think the Status Quo is all good.. By all means let's have 4 more years
So come on people think about it...Can anyone on the BOS be trusted? Can anyone currently on the force be trusted?...They are all in bed together so I SAY NO!

I can't say anything about the name calling from the other gentleman, we veterans tend to rub people the wrong way sometimes.

Can I ask you if you have been in a political position before? You need powerful allies to assist you with the task you are discussing or your committing political suicide. There is a huge mess, and she cannot clean it up herself. If you are just asking questions and waiting for someone to take the buck after you pass it, then you are not going to get anything. Denise is in her position to do good, and has, but when you discuss taking down a group of people that work differently than she; it would be political suicide for her to take them head on an expect no retaliation. In turn they will retaliate and then we are left with someone else who will fit their bill. You have to chose your battles, and too many expect the leader to wave a magic wand to fix the problems.

I do not agree, with them all being in bed together. I think it is a matter of not enough elected officials in place that are in place to change the dynamic of Lake County. I believe she does, but; she cannot stand up like you are suggesting she does. You have many valid and legitimate points, but you cannot expect one supervisor to bring these things up in a meeting and expect her to not be retaliated against.

GOB, well I see your point, and it is the dynamic in LC, quite frankly it is the bottom line, and a complex task to alleviate. Weigh the difference of what she has done for the district 3 community as opposed to "rocking the boat". That is a task that requires more that are ready for change. Talk to your fellow and local citizens that could vote for elected officials that are ready to change the dynamic of GOB, and that is the first step you could make in helping Denise accomplish the task you are suggesting.
