if MJ is so legal, why can't you get it at adrug store wuith the rest of your prescriptions? Do we really need 10 plus dispensaries in Lake Co? Some of which are right next door to places families might like to visit? You say there is a moratorium, yet ne dispensaries crop up every day. Enough is enough!

You won't allow a Lowe's in or a Walgreens, or a Home Depot, places that may really provide employment to Lake County People, but dispensaries are a go?

Home Depot, Lowes don't sell Mari-jane or Mari-jane plants and since when you can compare a Medical Marijuana despenary in the same venue as a Lowes unless you know something the rest of us don't? Actually there is no comparison. As for Lowes or a Home Depot will not create that many new jobs for clearlake's residence which is a forrest by recycling employees from local hardware stores and over sacurating the local economy causing economic drain on other local establish business to close up shop.

Medical Marijuana shops only services those people that have a Scrip for that drug. And Lake County already have a high level of those shops already....certainly don't need anymore!

I am with "hippiemom" No MJ dispenserys. If it is such a wonder drug....put it in pill form and let these people take thier scrips to a legal Pharmacy to get thier fix.

There is already a pill form but it has some pretty bad side effects - unlike the version that the Creator put on the earth. All of this is moot as decriminalization will win in November. To bad it wasn't on the June ballot - with the state unemployment benefits fund completely broke we could use the tax revenue. Also time to decriminalize, regulate and tax prostitution.

And the word is 'their'. Besides cannabis shops we also have book stores that sell dictionaries.

Its a legal retail business and should not be treated any different then any other legal business. The planning commission shows that they are bringing in their personal political agenda to their decision making process. Drug stores dispense far greater harmful drugs then do these outlet and are being treated differently. The county will be exposed to costly legal actions in the future now, at the taxpayers expense. Future rules and laws will be adjusted to hand this issue and until then, the outlets should be allowed to do business like any other legal retail operation.

Prop 215 to care of those concerns...if you don't like the law, then repeal it!
