Did they find the shooter?

Yes, national news stated he walked out this morning approx. 100 feet from the scene on the Wisconsin side of the river.

1 These poor kids didn't stand a chance. Even if they carried something for thier own protection (unlikely), how could they stand up to this? My heart goes out to the victims families. |

1 Michigan needs the death penalty. My heart aches for the families of these kids, and my thoughts/prayers go out to them. |

I am glad he was caught. It is obviousl he needs to be helped and away from society.
My gut tells me it is going to be someone who is a recluse and has some horrid experience(s) in his life that pushed him over the edge of reality and sanity. Not that this is an excuse...just what I expect. May the victims and their families be in peace. |

1 A crazy person stabbing someone to the point of decapitation isn't so pleasant either. Are we going to outlaw knives too? The keyword is "crazy". Countries that have put a ban on fire arms still have "crazy" people who kill. My question about all this would be: Does this have any connection to those 2 little girls who were gunned down in Weleetka Ok. Is this a serial killer? |

1 this is a horrible act, but has absolutely nothing to do with gun control, the psycho killer is the one that pulled the trigger the gun can't pull its own trigger. |

3 Exactly. It's not the law-abiding people that we need to worry about having guns and killing people. If they're willing to break the law to kill someone, I'm sure they're just as willing to break it to find a gun. Bans and stronger laws aren't going to make a difference, like someone else said - it's the death penalty that has the chance to make a difference! |

1 Interesting! I wouldn't be too quick to rule out a connection. http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx... WELEETKA — One month after two girls were shot to death on a rural Okfuskee County road, investigators do not appear to be much closer to solving the crime than they were the day it happened. No arrests have been made. No suspects have been identified. No motive has been determined. And a sketch of a mystery man who is listed as a "person of interest" has produced hundreds of leads but no notable results. Stan Florence, an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation inspector, said authorities are still working hard to find the person or persons who killed 13-year-old Taylor Paschal-Placker and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker on June 8. "Unfortunately, there's nothing to report, but to date, we have 451 leads received, and we have given a number of polygraphs, including a polygraph (Monday). So this case is still very active and ongoing," Florence said. Investigators believe there may be at least two shooters involved in the killings because each of the girls were shot with two different kinds of bullets. Two weeks ago, OSBI officials decided to request a nationwide distribution of the information and sketch related to the girls' slaying in hopes of gathering information.... ....For the last three weeks, officers have been looking for a "person of interest" who was reported as a suspicious person in the Weleetka area when the two girls were shot. Authorities have never called the man a suspect, but said he may have seen something and may even be a possible witness. He is described as an American Indian male, about 6 feet tall, with black hair and a ponytail. He was reportedly seen standing near a white Ford or Chevrolet single cab pickup with an Oklahoma tag. |

1 I generally disagree with gun control, but when it comes to someone toting around an assault rifle, I just don't understand it. People don't need weapons like that; it's just plain pointless. |
