Family Life Network from Bath NY have this on their facebook page.
"Standing Firm", a new film from Praise Pictures is in production in Lewiston, NY. The film is almost completed its Production stage and is moving into Post-Production with hopes of a 2009 release.
STANDING FIRM is a story of forgiveness and finding peace in times of suffering. Dave, a widower, is working himself to death. Late nights doing paperwork and running on fumes is the norm. Dave\'s son Steven, the only remaining Christian of the family has been watching his fathers now unhealthy lifestyle with great concern unsure of what to do next. Soon God moves on Steven\'s heart to stop complaining about his fathers situation and help him instead. As Dave begins to move in the right direction, he searches for the ultimate question about his wife\'s death.....WHY?
What can you local Christians do to help? Share the website and movie with others!
Visit our website: http://www.standingfirmmovie.com
Also if your local, tell other people about the film that might be beneficial to us. Call your local Christian radio stations and let them know that we exist! Call Family Life! Call WDCX! Call your local newspaper! DO WHAT YOU CAN!
We want to Glorify the Lord and see his Word spread to others. We want to reach others for Christ with our films. Will you support us and help us? We hope you will!
God Bless,
Kyle Prohaska

And exactly how many Niagara County residents did you employ for this. And how much was brought into the community with this and exactly what in GODS name does this do to help one person in this area? Just trying to see how it will benefit one person in Niagara Falls. Does it give them any money going to the local city mission? I am sick of people coming here and using the resourses here and not giving back. Take and leave. Same crap different decade. I would bet this area gets nothing from your sales of this. So quit asking the destitute people of this city for more when there is no more to give. They have big hearts and people suck them dry and leave.

I don't work for the station~ I just heard there was a movie being made in Lewiston, and it turns out THIS is the one that was made... I was hoping to see local scenery in the movie.

Then come here enjoy the view and check out the sights. Niagara Falls has many beautiful places to see the wonderful nature we have. Yes we are rebuilding but you know it takes more then just a post on the area. Believe me but I m just trying to say that what has gone wrong here is people and have lost faith and trust and rightfully so. So look on you tube or the travel channel of our sights. Or join us here and see it. You obviously are not so far away. I travel to many areas to just take in our beauty that there really is here. And it IS there! It just needs to be not abused is all.

Ah, I have many fond memories of Niagara county scenery...My favorite place is the beach of Fort Niagara~ I don't get up there that often since my mom passed away in 2006. When I still live in the area... the Wintergardens were still there, also "The Imperoal Garage" blues bar...(c: I left in 83.

The problem is the loss of the wonderful city of Niagara Falls is from outsiders coming here with promises of "rehabilitation and redevelopment" or "cleaning the city up"(even in positions of power) but this too has never happened. It is a city full of who you know. The sad fact that no one is ever given the opportuniy to really do anything. Instead, what happens is this wait and see attitude but waiting 20 + yers is enough. I have been so discourage by many of the peoples attitude here and thier whoa is me syndrome instead of taking the initiative. But then the ones who do try to do anything are either harrassed or driven into despair before they can ever get the anyone to help or they are driven out and away,so sad. I too miss the "Old Falls", and I was a person who enjoyed the Imperial Garage a few times but I was a Rockwells,Daddy's or Bragg's patron mostly:)(I don't drink so it was more about the music and the people) These are times, unfortunatly ,our children or new people in the Falls will ever know. Sad but true. I once heard a very good analogy of the Falls from my son. He said "this city is in the hangover from the party of industrialism." I don't think it has ever been better described. My favorite place was on Three Sister Islands out near the water. Thank you for the chance to reflect on the wonderful days of old in a city that has so much to offer.

Imperial Garage was the place to be but so was the who 3rd st Strip. Too many young kids took it over and business has gone down hill but with enough support this area should be able to return to what it once was before the building delapitate.

It's a pleasure to talk with you (c: I think a lot of companies "buy" buildings in the falls PRETENDING they are going to redo...but then write off the expense as a loss for tax purposes...
I too love the 3 sisters islands, so pretty!

I don't remember the 3rd St.strip... but I might not have noticed the name of a few places.

You are very nice too~ Sometimes our atmosphere makes us behave less friendly than we REALLY are. Don't let that happen to you (c:
Bad times happen to eVeRyOnE to be sure... BUT the strongest of people do NOT give in and be a part of the problem. Attitude is a choice~ and with God's guidance I choose to be positve. Somedays it takes constant prayer to do it tho'

There was one on a thread in this forum who was at first I thought was a very angry person. I began to lash back and I then got his last post and it brought tears to my eyes as he really understood not only what I was trying to convey but he said it and I am sure now from reading his words, he felt this more deeply then I ever could know. I had lost faith and reading between his profound passionate words and yours I found the balance and passion to keep on believing we are not a country lost but just distracted. I understand what you mean about ATTITUDE and you are so right. Hope your evening was a special one.

Have you gone to the Fatima Shrine when you have gotten the time to come up for visits here? I remember when as a child my Grandmother used to take us at the holidays. The live nativity was always nice and seeing all the lights. I have not gotten to show my children this but once since holidays are usually spent with family elsewhere.
Hope your night was a good one ;)
