Did Kauffman use taxpayers' money to buy the "Save SSVC" buttons he handed out? Was it "Walking Around Money"? Kauffman is shooting himself in the foot with his posturing. When he said: "We need to have all the facts" that is feeding the conspiracy nuts and making them believe information is being hidden, not all facts about SSVC are revealed by "they" who want the school closed. That's not being responsible, Rob. If you personally think you do not have all the facts, then ask the SSVC for whatever you need to know.

Rep. Kauffman, before the tour of classrooms and school facilities began, SSVC Superintendent Ron Grandel gave you a slide presentation that outlined the history of the school, its goals and mission, and academic and athletic accomplishments.

Kauffman is revealing his true self on this issue. He is lying, distorting the facts and just plain dishonest. I hope the electorate remembers this issue come election time.
A giant waste of state money right in his backyard. Not only does he not fix it, he fights to perpetuate it.

it makes no sense fiscally to keep this school open !$45000 a child would be difficult to defend in good economic times. Close it and do it soon.

So Bishop and Waters were running late. If this is so important they should have been here the evening before. And by the way, only 4 people cared enough to show up! Looks like the die is cast for SSVC, bye bye!

Rendell, as usual, has his head up you know where when it comes to closing SSVC. $10.5 M is nothing in this liberal's big spending budget. give these kids the education they deserve.

Serves whose kids from what community? Who is really being served here and at what cost? They may not close it, but not because it means so much to most of the people of the state, but because the black caucus will threaten to get even with legislators who don't go along with them on this. Politics as usual.

If you really want to see what is going on, don't announce weeks ahead of time that you are coming. Send in a couple of people "undercover" and find out what is really going on.

The government and your tax money funds Chambersburg Area School District and for the past few years that schools pssa scores were so low that if they didn't raise the scores the government was going to come and make sure those scores were raised.(CASD had to bribe their students, with prize drawings and rewards, to come to school and try their best on the tests) So we should shut down CASD because of low test scores? Why should we shut down SSVC because of low test scores? This just means that the school needs to evaluate the cirriculum, and CASD was giving a chance to evaluate. I've seen a lot of these students throughout C-burg when I'm out and about and most of them behave a lot better then the students I went to school with. These kids love it there, and do think of it as home. SSVC should remain open.

Don't you dare compare the students at Chambersburg Area School District with SSVC.
