I just hope Ken will be replaced by a local person who continues to keep Orrstown Bank a local financial institution, and not gobbled up by some larger bank. Enjoy retirement, Ken; you deserve it!

As a stockholder I would like to see the company "gobbled up". Stock value has suffered because regional banks cannot compete in the long term.

I agree with crc -- I don't want it to become part of some mega-bank where you can't find anyone to talk to about a problem. Orrstown is what it is, a local bank, and customers like it that way. clt, if you don't like the stock price, sell it and buy something else.

I agree! Remember when Valley Bank got sucked up by M&T? My parents got bills for years for a line of credit from M&T they never had and they had pulled their money out of Valley Bank before M&T took it over. It took me 3 months to straighten that mess out.

It appears that the Public Opinion is no longer a
forum for free speech. If you post anything with a
criticism of the Orrstown Bank, it gets removed pretty quick.

Don't think that it goes unnoticed, Public Opinion. The two criticisms that you removed should be reinstated. Don't let your reputation go
the way of the Orrstown Bank's.
